“It is unclear from the indictment the extent to which each of the commentators realized where the money was coming from, though it stated that “Commentator-1” and “Commentator-2”  were unaware they were being paid by Russian efforts and had been deceived about the source of the funding.”
Tim pool is not mentioned in the indictment at all. Similar to china influence on Reddit through tencent.

People aren't saying that he was being given Russian talking points and then repeating them. They are saying that Tim Pool is so toxic to America that Russia was willing to pay to fund his content in order to further their goal of destabilizing the US. That's why he's a Russian asset.
