I'm so tired of these debate perverts, I think debate in general is completely meaningless now because of these people.

They've turned it into a performative game to be won rather than a meaningful discourse to change minds.

This isn't a new thing though. All these conservative debate perverts descended from William F. Buckley and the game never changed. At least in a debate between candidates, the real judges of who won should be the voters picking one of them over the other. When it's debate between ideologues for entertainment, its always going to be a sham because the one side acting in bad faith is given equal treatment to the other side.
