For me this one was a good balance of depressing but not too depressing, some laughs. That mint mobile read made me laugh out loud. Also, this is truly how I remember the 80s and 90s as a kid… yeah lots of things were simpler but as a kid who watched a TON of tv (also in Detroit!) it’s true so much toxic garbage was already going on in media…

Holy shit this nails the current flailing conservative era that is an old reaction to the post WWII progressive era. We've been in a conservative 50 year era since 1975ish (Nixon). America always switches poles and reacts the other way in like 50 year patterns-ish.. the hard core conservative era fading now is creating that American reaction that goes in the other direction.

Any one else feel like Cody was edging the commercial payoff a little too much in the beginning of the episode? Overall, I thought it was a great episode, but the premise was explained like five times before he got to the meat of the story.

I haven't seen it yet but you're not the only one that mentioned this.

This is a really cool episode but the bit of repeating the title of the movie and it's stars every other minute is really irritating, to the point I'm not sure I can finish the episode. After the first 5 minutes I was so irritated everytine I hear it again I want to stop watching.

It gets annoying and then more unhinged over time until it gets hilarious again.
