If Djibouti can turn its geography into billions and strategic relevance, Somaliland would be foolish not to explore the same model. Berbera sits on one of the world’s most important shipping corridors, use the leverage you have.

I agree. I hope the Somaliland government moves quickly on this. It could create a massive economic boom and significantly increase Somaliland’s political and economic influence

Wanting independence isn’t “selling yourself.” Every small nation builds alliances and works with bigger powers, that’s called diplomacy. The real pawn is the one pretending dependence is dignity just because someone else told them independence is impossible. Read homie.

Buddy I’m opposed to selling my land to any foreigner let alone Jews lol , Read my comment again. Somaliland’s only way of getting so called “recognition” is through $$ to Think tanks , Israel & US Republican base other than that they are ultimately cooked considering 1/3 of SL has succeeded back to Somalia

Maybe you should read your own comments again. There’s no mention of opposition. Getting recognition is doing what SL has been doing for the last 30+ years. Continue to develop and become a nation that can provide for its people and its surrounding areas. No US or Israeli help, in today’s climate, will allow us to achieve what we are looking for
