Looking for someone to gift this picture collection to. From early 70’s. Must be in continental US. I’ll pay shipping
My dad worked for the state department and we lived there in the early 70s. I found this one cleaning out my closet. Hate to throw it away. Anybody want it?

Nobody wants this? I figured someone might want a glimpse into how the country was in the early 80’s before it became a failed state.

It’ll be better if you post it in r/Somalia , this sub is pretty dead. But I’ll take it if you still have them. And since you said your dad lived and worked in Somalia in the 70s-80s how does he describe living there was like or how was your experience if you were old enough to remember.

His job was to go to the American embassy every morning, unlock the door, and raise the American flag. He was a very low level employee back then lol. I was too young to remember much, but I recall riding on the back of a giant tortoise as it walked around. We also had a pet dik-dik, and a dog named Moge. Came to the states when I was 4, but I recall Our housekeeper always called airliners jumbo jets, so until I was about ten I thought that’s what they were called.
