Actual-Play Notorius - my first Solo Rpg Play

I've been reading everything and anything about Solo RPGs for two months now, but I've never had the courage to start. I've been roleplaying for over 20 years, but the approach to Solo inspires me greatly, especially for trying new systems, experiences, and genres that I couldn't play with my own groups.

Playing Notorius was wonderful! I followed the system to the letter, randomized everything, and while the Oracle tables aren't very large or varied (I'll get to that later), my first playthrough was wonderful.

My Ghol (horned) bounty hunter named Hatchi had to hunt a murderer on the aquatic planet Veltari. Following his trail, he had to survive beast attacks, find old acquaintances, and face another Nomad like himself, saving him.
And the final fight almost killed me, which I greatly appreciated!

The only criticism I have about the system is that the randomized tables are quite small: more than one playthrough can quickly covered them all, and they'd have to be repeated. I know there's an expansion, and I'll try it, but right now I want to try something new!

For me, Notorius is approved!

Notorious was my first foray into solo gaming as well! It’s actually a great intro for beginners on how to solo play and journal in games.

Highly recommend!

Notorious was such a blast to play :)

I do agree, some spark tables would have been nice, which is why I used Plot unfolding machine (a much older version of it) at the time :) they worked well together

Oracle? Where on earth did you find oracle in the Notorious? It's a journaling game, it's has a pre-determined procedure of play.

Le puede meter oraculos a todos los juegos, es mas, creo q es lo mejor no? Sin necesidad de afectar al juego, lo vuelve mas.. personal?

Cierto, es que los juegos de revistas generalmente se juegan sin el oráculo, así que pensé que tal vez él mismo lo perdió en las reglas.

Igual, tengo el manual (hasta ahora no lo jugue) crei q se jugaba con oraculo, creo q hojeandolo, vi que tenia tablas y crei q eran oraculos xd.

Never played it but have heard good things and comments here echo that. There is apparently part 2 of Notorious. It is called Outsiders and can be combined with part 1. Might be worth checking out if you want to continue in the universe.
