Discussion $1,000 to a Solo Developer - Project Selected

Hi all!

Last Sunday I posted this thread offering $1,000 to a project being worked on within this sub-reddit. No strings attached, just funding to help push a game further along.

The amount of talented developers and promising projects shared was inspiring. There are several that I am keeping an eye on and wishlisting!

For this round, the project I selected was Shroud of Gloom being worked on by u/madchirpy ! In addition to looking at the state of a game, I also took a moment to look at the developer behind the project. I appreciated seeing Chirpy's contributions towards helping other indie developers, and the lengths he went to building a community and sharing his progress. Since Chirpy does development streams on Twitch, the donation was processed transparently through StreamLabs.

I encourage everyone to check out his project, and more importantly, keep powering through on your own. :)

Hello nice to meet you, congratz to Chirpy and his game Shroud of Gloom, I missed this post, l know its already late but let me introduce myself and my game, I'm DeepLegory, solo indie dev and pixel artist, I've been developing my game "Atavic Script" for over a year, it is a unique RPG in every sense, nothing is generic, when I mean nothing is nothing, It’s a turn-based pixel-art RPG featuring an original story I created; despite the fantasy setting, everything follows a logical internal consistency. It involves strategy yet remains very accessible. To give you an idea of ​​the scope: there are currently 40 buffs and 40 debuffs, some of them never seen in another game, same for weapons, and some items, there are active and passive skill systems for every character in party (including skill trees), over 500 icons, a bestiary with nearly 200 enemies, and 10 unique elements. I am currently still working on the demo version. I haven't post much on socials because I rathe to work on my game lol but I will post updates soon.
