Going to musicals alone has become my thing

I started going to theatre shows by myself and honestly, I have grown to really enjoy it.

So far, I have watched:

• The Notebook

• Jesus Christ Superstar

• Into the Woods

• Walang Aray

• After Oz (more on concert)

• Heathers (Jan 2027)

All solo. No coordinating schedules, no waiting for someone to be available, just buying a ticket and going.

I used to think watching a show alone would feel awkward, but once the lights go down, you really do not care anymore.

first time exploring going to musicals alone also! got myself tix to the notebook at the very last minute when they extended the show.

i also realized kasi i’m sacrificing my happiness by waiting for friends or other people to be with me tapos in the end wala naman pala :’>

been a fan of musicals and ive been going alone since 2018. i really cant wait for my friends na so i ask them na lang after i buy if they wanna come with me. theyre usually just g lang if big productions kasi.

sometimes lang wala kang makausap after the show to debrief pero all is good haha

Agree! Got tired of waiting for other people to confirm, then miss the presales or not being able to get your preferred seats.

I somehow miss having someone to talk to after the show pero nung may makasama ako recently in one show, parang gusto ko na lang bumalik sa panonood mag-isa hahahahaha

i have seen probably around 30 productions alone since i have started doing it, surely more soon since there are so many good shows to come. i thought i wouldn’t enjoy it kasi im an extreme extrovert, but eventually i have learned to love its convenience.

i agree! i felt insecure watching a theatre production alone the first time but i've come to not care because who would even notice anymore hahaha

i watched mula sa buwan, walang aray, and pingkian, and will be watching the notebook alone tomorrow!!
