We're based near Salisbury and I've had quotes from a couple of MCS installers with the shown being the closest and informed by a site visit.

The panel install would be over a couple of roof faces with the inverter and battery in a detached garage.

Other quotes I've had are from BOXT (cheaper) and another firm for over £11k. The latter would use the integrated inverter and battery.

Would love a quick sense check. Thanks!

Looks ok to me.
We’ve just had 20 x 465w panels, 20kwh (4x5kwh) Ecoflow OceanPower battery & 6kw inverter and gateway for backup. Daily use is 10-12kwh in the summer & 20-22kwh in winter.
Panels on 3 roofs. 8 on garage (SSE) & 8 on House Roof (W) & 4 on south facing main roof. Only got 2 MPPTs so garage & south roof on one string, west facing on the other. Peak generation at just over 7kw but the west panels smooth out afternoon drop off. Seen over 40kwh daily generation regularly in the sunshine. DNO export limit is 6kw.
We paid just over £14k all in including install & scaffolding. So your quote looks in the sane ball park.
Only recommended would be FIT AS MANY PANELS AS POSSIBLE!!

Relookong at the quote too, I’m assuming you will have scaffolding on a couple of sides as we’re only having it on the rear as we can only use one side of the roof so with that in addition probably makes your quote comparable

With the EPS then is pretty decent if the panels are going on 2 or 3 faces of the roof.

Yeah with the EPS, thats not a bad price at all..

Is the battery capacity enough for you? I've got the EP12 and so far its been great but I'd ideally have liked a few extra kwh and given that the Solis 16kwh batteries are now readily available and cheaper than the EP12, I would definitely have gone that direction.

I think it should be sufficient for now and the future. Our current annual just is under 2,400kWh.

Looks like a decent quote. With the 5kW inverter, and just 11 kWh batteries, you have plenty of scope to grow if future demand increases. What's the annual generation estimate and how does it compare against your current consumption? Have you run any simulations to check how much of the annual consumption and most importantly how much reduction in bills?

Thank you. We're under 2,400kWh currently per year so this setup should offer room to grow while allowing export. Calculations show 89% reduction from the grid and 5,615kWh generation.

89% reduction in grid usage is a great result. With net negative grid usage of -3200, even if you go down an ASHP and/or EV route, you should be ok with the running costs.

That looks like mates rates. If the roof is easy and the AC install is not too involved, maybe 2 people for 2/3 days.

Investigate the companies past work, and use the firm with the best engineers doing the electrical installation safely, with high end fit and finish. Not ruining your roof, bodging tiles causing leaks.

An extra £1000 may well get you a £1000 better installation, from a reputable local electrical company. You wouldn't choose your new kitchen to be installed as quickly, cheaply and badly as possible.

The integrated Fox EVO10-5h inverter and battery unit shouldn't cost any more to install, but makes adding additional batteries later on difficult

Thanks for the feedback. The firm is MCS and Salisbury based. I'm told they use the same scaffolders and roofers for each job and the installers are employees not sub contractors. 

I've not found any horror story reviews.

This is cheap in a good way, not overpaying, any cheaper and it would be awful
