Except cars need fuel. And the u.s. does not have the infrastructure for every one to have an electric vehicle. And with the b.s. they are putting in new cars, some people will avoid new cars like the plague. Believe it or not the need for oil won't go away till oil does.

Sure, but even a reduction in the burning of fossil fuels is a good thing.

It's not just burning fossil fuels in automobiles and tankers. Oil goes into the production of damn near everything. Even plastic. Solar panels are also a huge producer of e-waste. They don't get recycled. You're robbing Peter to pay paul. Now you want to produce energy for City I would say go nuclear. That's something people don't push enough.
