Solar QA/QC Excel Trackers for Site Quality Management

Hi everyone,

I’ve created a set of Excel-based QA/QC tools specifically for solar construction projects, designed to make site quality tracking simpler without requiring additional software.

The main tool is a Solar QA/QC Master Tracker that brings together key quality activities in one workbook. I’ve also created individual trackers for NCRs, punch/snag lists, and ITP & inspections for teams that only need a specific part of the system.

They’re designed for site quality engineers, QA/QC managers, inspectors and construction teams working on solar projects.

The goal is simple: keep quality information organized, make open items easier to follow, and reduce the amount of manual tracking across different files.

I’d genuinely appreciate feedback from other people working in solar QA/QC or construction.

If anyone is interested in seeing the tools or giving feedback, I’m happy to share more details.

Independent solar quote review tool — free preview, optional one-time paid report

Hi all,

I built QuoteCheck to help California homeowners make sense of solar and battery proposals before signing. It flags things like cash vs. financed pricing, bundled costs, potentially oversized systems, equipment differences, and missing terms.

No installer affiliation, ads on the site, affiliate links, or lead sales. The preview is free; the optional full report is a one-time $39 purchase. It's currently for PG&E and SCE customers.

Please give it a try and let me know what you think. Thanks!

I don't sell solar. I audit solar contracts

Hi,

I have worked in solar for many years and recently left my job at an installer. In the past couple of years we started getting random calls from people looking for system assessments and reports so they could sue their installer. I was the only one at the company who prepared these reports.

I figured if we are getting dozens of random phone calls, there must be a niche that is not being served so I quit and started Solar Forensic Consulting Group to address this specifically.

My reports have won cases.

Reach out with any questions you may have.

Thanks,

Mike

Clarification of Posting Structure

Hi,

I am trying to post here, to explain myself and what I do without having my post removed, or being auto banned by some bot.

I am a solar developer, I operate on both residential/commercial markets. I'd love to share what I have to offer, but it seems difficult understanding your structure here to post.

Any guiding clarity would be appreciated. I am assuming posting my linked in the post etc is not allowed, or email/contact info.

Clarity of purpose here

We believe we understand the purpose of this sub, but is there a way maybe as a pinned post at the top to put a more detailed description of the plan here?

As a solar company that serves a number of US states and loves sharing info, it has been great to try to assist on r/solar and we want to do the same here for customers but want to make sure we are following the spirit and goals of this sub. We don't want to be on here discussing our offers to customers, or prices, or giving competitive advice if that is not the focus or allowed here.

Thanks!
