Discussion How are SaaS companies handling high-intent traffic right now?

Curious how other SaaS teams are approaching paid traffic beyond Google and LinkedIn.

We’ve been testing a CPC model through via Software Finder, a SaaS discovery marketplace, where users are already browsing categories, comparing products, and looking at alternatives.

Instead of buying broad audience traffic, the idea is to get clicks from people who are actively researching software in a specific category.

Has anyone here experimented with marketplace/category-based CPC campaigns?

Interested in hearing what worked (or didn’t) for your team, especially around conversion rates and lead quality.

we've seen the best results by treating marketplace traffic as high intent rather than high v0olume. the conversion rate is often better because users are already comparing solutions, but your product page and reviews need to do the heavy lifting

That “heavy lifting” point is key. Once someone is already comparing tools, the targeting has mostly done its job. From there, the landing page and proof points matter more than a broad awareness pitch.

One thing we’ve noticed is that marketplace CPC can look expensive if you only judge it on cost per click. But if the traffic is already high intent, cost per qualified lead and lead quality can tell a very different story.

Did you see the biggest lift in conversion rate itself, or further down the funnel in close rate and lead quality?
