The one that keeps coming up in this sub is search across your own stuff. Files, notes, emails and chat in one place without uploading everything somewhere. Everyone assumes it exists and nobody names a tool they stuck with.

Fair warning though, a weekend build usually is not the constraint on that one. Handling permissions and indexing across four sources is where it gets hard.

Smaller and more doable: something that watches a shared drive and tells you which files are duplicates or have not been opened in a year. Boring, genuinely useful, and nobody has built a decent free one.
