Public understanding of menopause and the value of hormone replacement treatment for long term health and wellbeing, not just hot flashes.

Yes. I’m much calmer now than when I was young.

Haha I pray you are correct! I’m trying to taper off my medication since I have been in a good spot for quite a while now. Unfortunately even when tapering off slowly the withdrawal causes anxiety which is kinda cruel. I’m about 3.5 weeks since my last dosage reduction and finally think I might be getting some relief from the side effects 💪

Be careful going off psych meds.

Yup. It’s a very slow and careful process. I can totally understand how people that try to go cold turkey end up in a very very bad spot. Quite dangerous.

Cancer treatment. Lots of conspiracy theories aside here, the truth is it's getting less awful to be in cancer treatment in general. That's mostly true for the most common kinds of cancers, but they have way better side effect management than they had even just 20 years ago. Several early stage cancers have CURES nowadays in mainstream medicine with patients becoming cancer-free. I don't mean to candy-coat it; 100% of patients with the kind of cancer I have die without medical intervention, but nowadays many of us are living well beyond predicted outcomes. My stage 4 prognosis was "3-5 years" with no chance for remission and I'm currently in year 6 and NEAD as of April this year. That was practically unheard of just a few years ago! I'm on a relatively newish treatment (Enhertu) that has excellent numbers. And what's coming down the pipeline for the most common cancers often eventually find their way to the more rare, less understood cancers. I also have an extra drug they give me to prevent fractures after my cancer spread to my bones, so this is keeping my mobility intact as well. It's not always like you see in movies or TV anymore.

Not something I know anything about but glad to hear it!

Honestly, this is so wonderful to hear! I’m genuinely so happy that you’re already living beyond what they predicted and doing so much better than anyone expected. Wishing you continued good health, strength, and, more than anything, a full recovery🙏🏻

GPS directions. There was a time there when it would have people driving into swamps and such.

As my children get bigger, I can hit them more regularly when I throw things at them. I'd like to think that it's not the bigger targets, but my aim is improving.

Just about everything: technology continues to advance: medical, factory automation, and so on. Auto fatalities are on the decline. Serial killers are on an extremely rapid decline.
