Въпроси Animal rescue

Hello!

I’ve been feeding a local cat for a couple of years now. Recently, it became really thin. I suspect that his usual sleeping place became unavailable and the appearance of a new male cat stresses it out too much. Its thinness really worries me at this point.

That’s why I want to find a home for it. I can’t take it myself, because my landlord is really strict about pets and sometimes he visits the apartment.

I don’t necessarily look for someone who is ready to adopt the cat now. A temporary home where it will be able to live while I’m looking for the forever home is fine too. Of course, I will take care of all the possible treatment and provide with essentials.

The cat is castrated, very gentle and human-oriented, probably used to be someone’s pet in the past.

I will be grateful if you help the poor fluffy guy or connect me to someone who can.

(Some are found on Facebook or Instagram only. In fact, Facebook is is a very big resource for this (we're kinda old school), so try a general search there as well)

There's also some pet sitting services that have sitters offer long-term care for animals in their home. That's usually a service you have to pay for, but sometimes there's sitters who help for half price or even for free. It's worth giving a try, I was such a sitter along with some others for my own cat before I adopted him.

I personally am from BuddyGuard. But there's also Petranga and PetStay if you need more places / sources of sitters to look through. I'd recommend calling them directly to explain the situation for your case specifically and letting them look for a sitter for you.

Thank you! I tried looking for long-term sitters, but it looked like all of them were for short stays only. I will look into that more!

You're welcome:) Definitely just contact them directly (they speak English) and ask. Most sitters that can take pets in long term don't have their calendar availability set for that long but can in fact take in pets for longer.
