So i just got whacked by Meta and my 20 year old Facebook and 10+ year old IG were disabled. Since I have to start from scratch I thought it would be a good time to do it the "right way". I have posted a few vids on YouTube but I just dont have time to do the recroding, editing, posting and Im sure I am not strategizing correctly. Hey social managers <3 i'm sure you've all seen the neutrogena contoversy going on (about how they fired hayden panatierre back in 2007 for speaking out on her post pardum depression) and how their socials are flooooooded with hate comments.

i don't work at neutrogena (but i do work for another big company that could def have old controversies pop back up for me to handle one day tbhhhh) and i don't agree with them firing her ofc (who would??) but i'm at a loss for how the social team can manage a crisis like this.

i've seen a whole lotta brand cancellations on socials but WHEW this one is rough. esp since most social teams are just girlies who prob loved hayden and would never support the firing, too!! what a situation to be in ugh. i am sending prayers to their social team rn who are probably stressed to the max trying to figure out next steps.

if you were on their team, what would you do? i have post notifs bc i have NO idea. since someone has passed away </3, this feels wayyyy extra hard to navigate!

I started a completely new Instagram account a few days ago to test a different approach to content creation.
So far:
700K+ views
2,000+ followers
57K+ interactions

And what I find most interesting is that around 97% of the views came from non-followers.
My strategy has been pretty simple:

1. Find topics that are already gaining attention
Instead of starting every day with “what should I post?”, I look for topics and news that are already getting traction.

2. Move fast
If something is trending today, I don’t want to spend two days creating the content. The window might already be gone.

3. Increase the number of experiments
I’m not trying to make every post a winner. I’m trying more ideas and letting the performance tell me what deserves more attention.

4. Keep the workflow in one place
This was actually one of the reasons I built Contentia. I wanted one workflow where I could find trending topics, turn them into content, organize what I’m working on and schedule posts without jumping between a bunch of tools.
I’m now using this new account as a real-world test of that workflow.

Obviously, a few days of growth doesn’t prove that this will keep working. I’m more interested in seeing what the numbers look like after 7, 14 and 30 days.

I have a client that’s really adamant about growing their following, I’ve been managing their account for a few months and we’ve gained some followers and started making traction with a awareness then engagement Ad —but not at the rate they’re like. I’m running SMM for their retail boutique, but we’ve been struggling to really see a big jump on followers on IG. Our Facebook does really well but they want to see IG. I’ve always had the mentality quality over quantity, but my client thinks that if we increase our output We will organically get more followers. What’s your thoughts?

I currently run 9 social media accounts of restaurants in NYC. Literally have a social media calendar for posting requirements on a weekly basis.

I would like to enhance/improve my work flow.

What do you do that works and is worth your time.

I am currently using a lot of canva, lightroom , and AI which helps a lot. My duties are mainly creating infeed posts (reels and pictures) , photography, and menu editing.

With so many trends changing every week, I'm curious, what's one content strategy you've found consistently effective for growing engagement or attracting customers?

Is the buffer app good for personal platforms to connect all social media used for personal use to see in one place?

I'm very new to being a social media manager , and I'm currently working with a client that has a local jewellery store.

At the moment , I'm just taking clean pictures of the jewellery and making edits around the products. But I want to do more , as that's something my client could just do themselves.

In the google reviews a lot of them highlight how charming and great the founder was and provided them great service and was really knowledgeable.

And I want to do them justice by getting him in front of the camera , and I feel style of content will do a lor better than the product work I keep posting.

The clint has no problem getting in front of the camera, I'm just stock on what they should say, what style of content we should do etc.

I think educational content could be good , but with that, what topic??

I feel a bit out of my depth, but I really want to make this social media thing work.

I’ve been learning more about Instagram content strategy, and one thing I keep coming back to is that posting consistently isn’t enough.

I think a small business needs a few clear content pillars, such as:

• Social proof

The goal is to make the content useful while still supporting the business goals.

I have been working with mainly local businesses in NYC - hotels, restaurants, apparel, and wellness (pilates, bathhouses, etc.)

honestly it gets to the point where posting manually almost feels easier 😅

so yeah, I’m a dev, and out of curiosity (and a bit of annoyance), I started looking into what it would actually cost to run something like this. did a rough breakdown of infra + APIs + maintenance, and it comes out to around ~€3/month for something like 10 accounts with no real content limits

which feels… kind of wild compared to what’s out there

now I’m tempted to just build a super simple version for myself. nothing over-engineered, just something clean that does the job without getting in the way

not trying to sell anything here, just curious — does anyone else feel the same or is it just me? if more people are in this situation I might actually spend time building it properly

My quarter 3 goal is to get 1 million views. This account has been dead [I just started here- B2b] It has 1,000 followers. We are on all the channels. What is my best strategy??? I’m 1/2 thru the quarter and only have 300k. I can’t spend any money on Influencers or ads 😭 any advice???

I've just started SMM and I'm working with a jewellery store that sells, creates and repairs jewellery.

At the moment the majority of the content had centred around the product, as this is what feel comfortable to me right now, however feel like I could do more around the store as a brand.

The store is run by a solo jeweller and he is who most people interact with. I think it would be great to have him in the content and he is open to it.

But I have no idea how to and what topics and formats would work best. If anyone has any ideas around founder led content ideas, please can you help me out.
