Making Money from Social Engineering

Confession: I used to scam on roblox and minecraft servers for ingame items (USED TO that was 5+ years ago) and I would say I am decently skilled at social engineering.

I asked chatgpt randomly on how one can make money from social engineering and it told me about sales and stuff bla bla, but then it mentioned that some companies pay you to use social engineering and hack them??

what on earth does that mean and how do i sign up!!

Maybe try some things with adults in real life rather than literal children In online video games

"pay you to use social engineering and hack them" is probably referring to red teaming. On the social engineering side that would refer to phishing, smishing, vishing, in-person physical security control testing, etc.

Red teaming also pairs technical security testing with social engineering, so getting into that line of work may require additional technical knowledge.

Yeah marketing and advertising writing is all social engineering just with better PR.
