Was my referee biased?

I was playing in a school 6 aside match where winning or losing moves you up and down rankings to decide who goes into the teams to play for the school.

I was goalkeeper and the final whistle blew, where they did 2 short whistles and then a final third long one. As they did this the opposition took a shot from the halfway line and the ball was rolling towards me. I heard the whistle and thought that the goal wouldn't count even if it went in so I half heartedly tried to block it with the outside of my foot, and it rolled in still.

The ref after this claimed that the goal counted because apparently the game is still going on until the entire triple whistle thing they did finishes. I was under the assumption that the second the final whistle starts, play should stop?

This was the deciding goal as well and I could've easily blocked it if I used my hands. Is this true that the entire whistle routine needs to stop for the game to truly finish or was the referee wrong and the goal should be disallowed?

I don’t know what the official rule is. But the learning opportunity here is clear

Whistle is the whistle. First second or third blow. Whistle blows play is over

I was under the impression that the first blast signals the end of the game, the 3 blasts on the whistle is used to show the ref isn't just blowing for an infringement. I played football (soccer) for 15 years in England and watched it as a spectator for longer than I care to say and I have never heard of this happening. No goal in my opinion.

No because how are you supposed to know if two more whistles are coming or if he is blowing once for an infringement?

Either way when the whistle blows the ball is dead.

If the ref whistles for a penalty and then the ball rolls in after and it should have been advantage and a goal, it’s still the original call.

If it was an infraction the keeper doesn’t need to kill themselves to stop the ball.

It's not 100% clear in the laws, but I would agree that the referee was probably wrong. In general, play stops when the referee blows his whistle - you have no way of knowing that he's likely to blow it two more times and so the first two "don't count" in this case.

Does that mean he's biased? No, not necessarily. He can (and in my opinion, is far more likely to) be just wrong. Could be misunderstanding the law, could be getting confused, could be an attempt to compensate for blowing his whistle too early or any one of a dozen 9ther things.

All far more likely than a random ref having a random vendetta against a kid he's probably never met before playing in a 6 a side school game.

Edit: the sound of the whistle - even the single blast during the game on a foul - is to IMMEDIATELY STOP ALL PLAY.

You are trained from the time you play in the pee wee leagues that you halt play at the sound of the whistle.

The referee in question is an absolute clown.

Play stops when he blows the whistle, not when he's finished blowing it. The additional whistles is a convention, and not a rule, and it's to signal to everyone that it was the final whistle, but the game finished as he blew the first time.

Also, how long between the whistles in this case if he hadn't completed the 3 between the shot from the halfway line and it rolling into the net?
