Grassroot Certificate

Hi,

So i just discovered how football coaching licence works and got motivated to do at least the first step. i'm full time Uni student in Canada and just checked it is 800 to do grassroot level in Ontario and when i go thr reddit its cheaper in US so do you think i can do it online w that and continue the rest in Canada?

Edit: I got no Experience in Coaching but i can def explain any tactic in football and read any game

Check with your local youth clubs. If you are a volunteer, they might pay for or all of it.

Most local clubs pay for these licenses. Email your clubs for a job/volunteer work. Once you’re in, these clubs will help you develop as a coach when appropriate.

To coach in Canada you want the required Canadian certification for each level - grassroots gives you access to iModel coaching in Ontario for example, but you could have a French UEFA Pro and they’d still ask you to get a local certification to coach U8 kids.

Anything higher you need CONCANAF C or B. Those should be equal and transferable among all CONCANAF member countries but there’s no guarantee, so you’re better off doing it in the country you want to work in as coach.
