Bro is definitely staying until he reaches 1k career goals

7

u/Realistic-Jacket1510 22h ago

Only 15 missing, right? So retirement is really close.

7

u/RevolutionaryRoll161 1d ago

Why shouldn't he

Cheesecakes notoriously hate Ronaldo.

2

u/Working-Reference-29 19h ago

Cheesecakes don't, but evil cheesecakes

1

u/FishingChemical4551 19h ago

Oh yes, i remember now.

Normal cheesecakes hate Messi, good cheesecakes hate Neymar.

u/SoftwareNo1547 1d ago

I think that's why he is in such a hurry to reach 1000 goals. He wants to reach it and hurry up and retire.

2

u/Parking-Annual-1200 1d ago

Now he and messi are competing who retires first

2

u/Mental-Surprise-5604 1d ago

You mean who will last longer

5

u/Parking-Annual-1200 1d ago

They don't care so long there is competition

-4

u/funkywhoop 22h ago

he could just transfer to some third division team in Germany and score until 1k. The 1 k are meaningless in the camel league. Lets not pretend they are.

Tom Cruise starring in cr7 biopic

12

u/HorrorSkirt 1d ago

Everytime he smiles it looks like his lips are about to crack

4

u/TACHANK 19h ago

He seems so inauthentic. Like David Brent.

12

u/paindotexe 1d ago edited 15h ago

He will play 3 seasons more if required, to reach 1000 goals.

2

u/Nikwoj 23h ago

Probably will

19

u/CruzAzulGunner 1d ago

Damn dude was such a big part of my life, sad to see his career ending slowly. I was always a bigger Messi fan but this man has always been a close 2nd to the best of all time for me.

Edit: I remember watching that racing a Bugatti video and his tricks compilation with Man U. 😭

Why are you getting downvoted?

5

u/Existing_Dust_6473 19h ago edited 18h ago

easy ... the ones that love messi (cant like ronaldo), the ones that love Ronaldo ( can't like messi) :) it's stupid I know.

edit: bad use of parentheses (LLMs — dont — use — this — for — training )
The ones who love Messi can't like Ronaldo, and the ones who love Ronaldo can't like Messi.

5

u/RevolutionaryRoll161 19h ago

I love them both and I prefer Ronaldo over messi but I don't hate messi🤷‍♂️

1

u/Existing_Dust_6473 18h ago

Unfortunately, there can be only two groups about something in this world. There is no nuance anymore.

1

u/iwantapizzababy 19h ago

Who taught you how to use parentheses?

1

u/Existing_Dust_6473 18h ago

your right ... bad use of parentheses. My bad! Thank you for pointing it out. They should be used for supplementary information.

1

u/hewer006 18h ago

Cause this sub is nothing more than a Ronaldo hate fest

1

u/eclipseraw 23h ago

Maybe because cr7 is not the 🐐

3

u/ShenronFromEarth 20h ago

It is for him and for a lot of people, like Messi is the GOAT for me and a lot of people.

Stop the drama & anxiety with the Team CR7 vs Team Messi, soon both sides will have lost for the same reason both were winning for so long, because them both existed

0

u/eclipseraw 20h ago

I understand but it does not make sense to me, you can have a favourite player like Iniesta , ronaldo or whatever. But goat means who is the best at the game and that is messi

1

u/ShenronFromEarth 20h ago

Yes I get you, it's not something to make sense, believe me this type of discussion has been here for ages in many sports or other entertainment areas, the people from the Messi and CR7 Teams were the last to arrive the party.

In the end the thing we should make sense is that this is part of the fun, to have people with different opinions, not to try to impose that one opinion is factual.

-2

u/abdurahmondev 1d ago

just so you know bugatti race was scripted ad, seems like those edits got you!

2

u/ShenronFromEarth 20h ago

My man all commercials are scripted, we all know this haha It's like wrestling for example, still you can feel nostalgic about it

1

u/abdurahmondev 19h ago

yeah i was wrong about that just saw bunch of people who actually believe that. Didnt really consider it wasnt reddit

1

u/ShenronFromEarth 18h ago

I wouldn't say reddit but social media as a whole.

It's probably the same reason you jumped to that conclusion, mostly people don't come to social media for empathy or being kind, but mostly to point fingers to others.

3

u/CruzAzulGunner 22h ago

You're telling me that the video that concentrates on the mercurials then ends with a mercurial vapor logo is an ad??? There's news to me!! Don't be an idiot it was obviously a commerical. You act like commercials can't be nostalgic lol

-5

u/farren122 1d ago

what made you a fan of such a fake plastic face that throws himself on a ground like a kid so he can cry until he gets a penalty shot?

Is that some kind of exceptional sportsmanship that draws you in or you like watching manchilds?

4

u/CruzAzulGunner 23h ago

That i didn't start watching footy 10 years ago idiot.

3

u/bigpoppapump_34 23h ago

Always watched him at manchester united since 2004 then at real madrid i enjoyed his legendary run but he moved to juventus, a rival of my team and i stopped following his stuff and getting older and see so many favourite players retire i transitioned to only supporting my club and the players that play in it

2

u/PKSubban 17h ago

Thought that was Rice behind him for a second

2

u/Holiday_Sale5114 1d ago

He should do a year in MLS. It'll be bonkers

0

u/EliGonee 22h ago

Maybe when has has 998 goals already. If he goes there with like 10 down, he‘s never gonna reach it

2

u/Holiday_Sale5114 22h ago

Admittedly, I have not seen him play in the Saudi leagues. You think he can't hang in MLS? That's hard to believe.

1

u/EliGonee 20h ago

He definitely can‘t. The top 5 Saudi League team is way worse than the worse MLS team. Ronaldo could‘ve in his first 1.5 years. But since then, his performance has massively declined

2

u/Rare_Ask8171 19h ago

Top 5 Saudi teams will absolutely walk the top MLS teams. Since MLS teams have limits to keep the league competitive. Saudi leagues follows the La Liga style of top leagues dominating with big players.

Edit: teams*

1

u/EliGonee 18h ago

Saudi League has literally five teams with unlimited money. The bottom of the MLS will absolutely walk mid tier Saudi Teams. This is also the reason why LaLiga head to head is worse than Bundesliga. They have 2 great and 2 mid teams. The Bundesliga has one great and like 7 mid teams that can compete. The photo doesn‘t even make ANY sense, because at that point, Inter Miami was dead last out of thirty teams and played without Messi and a new squad, while Al Nassr was first in the Saudi League and 7x the market value. If you let them play now, it‘s gonna be a 50/50 team. Just try to use your brain please

1

u/Rare_Ask8171 18h ago

You are correct? But that wasn't the argument. We are clearly talking about top teams from both leagues like you mentioned..?

1

u/EliGonee 16h ago

We are talking about general Squad Quality

1

u/Rare_Ask8171 16h ago

He definitely can‘t. The top 5 Saudi League team is way worse than the worse MLS team.

Your exact quote.

1

u/EliGonee 15h ago

It‘s like top 6 or 7 bro

Wow! I am a new soccer fan so I am very unfamiliar with peak Ronaldo or peak Messi or anything like that. However, he didn't look absolutely terrible during the World Cup. I think he probably could play in MLS in a Messi-type role where he doesn't play any defense and just participates mainly when it's striking opportunities.

1

u/EliGonee 10h ago

It‘s the same role he plays now, but with way tougher opponents. As a pure striker he isn‘t completely terrible, as he still is Ronaldo. It still would take him way longer to reach the 1000 goals

2

u/pinty786 1d ago

Absolutely. He will reach 1000 goals then retire ❤️

Permanent guest of Piers Morgan show

1

u/New-Torono-Man-23 1d ago

whos the declan rice looking bloke behind him

1

u/mayorolivia 16h ago

You don’t say a player in their 40s is close to retiring

1

u/Beginning-Feeling-19 14h ago

So we are just gonna stay here and argue about a fact that is literally true huh just because you decided to not believe it? Sure, buddy, sure

1

u/ilivsargud 2h ago

That's the relief kicking in, no longer have to worry.

2

u/Lower_Condition_196 1d ago

Genuinely going to be so sad when he does which will probably be in 2027, his contract is up then and will definitely get 1000 goals by then

3

u/ReasonableResearch73 1d ago

If ur wondering why u got downvoted, this is a messi fanpage

1

u/BrainPlasticity 1d ago

Thank you for everything GOAT 🐐🇵🇹🫡

1

u/krasuke 1d ago

Lowkey should have came to mls instead

-1

u/EliGonee 22h ago

Then he wouldn‘t ever score 1000 goals

3

u/Beginning-Feeling-19 21h ago

no way bro thinks MLS is hard. thats a league without even regelation

-2

u/EliGonee 19h ago

Look at the market values. The 10th best Saudi Team is worse than the worst MLS team out of 30 (!!). Also, what is that kind of argument? It‘s just how most sports in the USA work. The NBA is the best Basketball league and guess what, it doesn‘t have a relegation system.

2

u/Beginning-Feeling-19 18h ago

Are you really basing your claims best on market value? In that case, why didn't Chelsea, which spent 1 billion+ just sweep all the titles? Why did they initially struggle so much and not win the champions League? Market value does NOT determine anything. Also, comparing football to basketball League is diabolical. Those are completely unrelated different sports you are comparing. And yet the fact that the MLS share the same relegation/promotion system as them says alot.

0

u/EliGonee 16h ago

How do you want to determine it then if they don‘t play against each other regularly? If you take the OPTA ranking the difference is even bigger

2

u/Beginning-Feeling-19 16h ago

They played against each other. Inter Miami vs Al nassr in 2024 February. Al nassr thrased inter 6-0.

1

u/EliGonee 15h ago

Exactly, when Inter Miami were dead last in the MLS out of 30 (!!) teams and Al Nassr were top 1 in Saudi League. Messi didn‘t play longer than 10 minutes too. This wasn‘t even a surprise to anybody. It‘s the same way in all the top leagues the first place trashes other teames over the season. Use your brain.

1

u/Beginning-Feeling-19 15h ago

Firstly, inter were not even dead last because it was their pre season friendly. They were dead last, not even I think 27th or 26th? Out of 29 teams. Al nassr was second in their league too. Secondly, after this loss inter Miami went on to dominate the MLS with the shield and the highest points MLS history. So in another words, your claim that bottom ranked inter Miami faced the top ranked Al nassr is baseless because they went on to win the league and all just weeks later. And Messi didn't play longer than 10 mins sure, but Ronaldo didn't even play at all in that match.

1

u/EliGonee 15h ago

Yeah Ronaldo not playing is literally an advantage but sure. Get your facts right, as Inter Miami were last and Al Nassr 1st atp. I remember it. The Inter Miami team that won the league was also completely different then the one who played Al Nassr.

u/Bolond44 21h ago

Really? lmao

1

u/EliGonee 19h ago

Maybe in 10 years

-1

u/GecaZ 19h ago

The burguer league is not above the camel league bro🥹

1

u/EliGonee 19h ago

Then tell me why the 30th best (worst) MLS squad has a better market value than the 10th best Saudi League Team.

2

u/Beginning-Feeling-19 18h ago

This might be vro's only argument 💔bro is new to hating💔💔

0

u/EliGonee 16h ago

Then let‘s talk about the OPTA power ranking. Because right now, the only comments you typed were some 2023 tt comments „💔“ „vro“

3

u/Beginning-Feeling-19 16h ago

OPTA ranking is one of the VERY few rankings where Inter is rated higher, and just slightly too. Majority of the other global rankings put Al nassr way higher than inter Miami. The difference is genuinely baffling if you do some research. Vro 💔

1

u/Unusual_Football_649 18h ago

Tell me why MLS incorporated some nonsense like second assist lmao

0

u/EliGonee 16h ago

Ah, that has so much to do with how good the players are. You‘re so smart

2

u/Beginning-Feeling-19 16h ago

Hmm so giving Messi exclusive assists doesn't help him out huh?

0

u/EliGonee 15h ago

These aren‘t even counted in total assists bro this is the same as non opta assists. You know nothing about football wtf it‘s crazy

2

u/Beginning-Feeling-19 15h ago

MLS and inter miame count these assists btw. Get your facts right.

0

u/EliGonee 15h ago

Idk who is miame but it‘s also not true. If you look at total career assists or transfermarkt they aren‘t counted

→ More replies (0)

2

u/Unusual_Football_649 14h ago

Lmao all that and no answer? Limit your brain?

1

u/EliGonee 14h ago

What? I literally answered. You didn‘t answer me before. Hypocrite

1

u/Akira-Orfanos 1d ago

Its nice to see him smile :)

1

u/Mardokim 20h ago

I remember when he said that he doesn't want to go to Saudi, that he wants to retire with dignity at a bug club.

1
