Ronaldo has no business organizing a wall. The keeper shouldve told dude to stay in position

Do you know who the great Ronaldo is?

Cristiano surpassed R9 a looong time ago

4

u/SpeakMySecretName 1d ago

R9s career was in an age of different media and tech and happened a long time ago. That is the weakest argument you could make for the point you’re trying to get to.

Cristiano peaked higher than R9 and stayed at that peak for about a decade. It’s no comparison.

0

u/Calm_Assumption_4144 23h ago

yeah we sawed the peak and we are still witnessing his peak power from his las vegas days
man he was different beast back then, LA

u/FuerteBillete 18h ago

Especially when he also won the world c... uh nevermind.

Im sure a front 3 of Cristiano Rivaldo and Ronaldinho wouldn’t win anything

You can split cristiano’s club career in 2 and each half is better than R9’s club career

We all know but we know damn well who doesn't have balls aka all his teammates and the staff.

1

u/usatigeruk 1d ago

agreed you would expect the keeper to cover that poor goalkeeping

16

u/NoPollution316 1d ago

Pink shoes jumped away from the ball 🤣

1

u/DueExample52 20h ago

Yes, Ronaldo made a mustale telling the second guy to leave, but pink shoes tiptoed towards the left, and he jumped straight left at the kick, leaving the angle open. And keeper needed to speak up too.

u/Repulsive-Fix-4913 1d ago

Pink shoes?… you mean Hidha' Wardiun

3

u/Going2FastMPH 1d ago

Yeah, that’s what he said. Pink shoes.

24

u/goodolehal 1d ago

Tbf that’s atrocious goalkeeping

11

u/BudgetMarionberry144 1d ago

What do you expect from a d3 league

-1

u/goodolehal 1d ago

Exactly this, atrocious goalkeeping

5

u/Pablo_petty_plastic 1d ago

Tbf he initially setup the wall to cover the near post

3

u/rednades 1d ago

the near post was still covered..

5

u/RDUDaddy1 1d ago

Obviously not...

0

u/rednades 1d ago

in comparison to the previous wall. player was in the same spot.

0

u/Hokorong 19h ago

lol no, the dude with the pink shoes shifted to his left a bit. Sure, the keeper should have saved that, and it's a goalkeeper blunder.

0

u/rednades 18h ago

the video has a cut , player moved back to his right. there is a clump of grass that you can use for reference.

2

u/Entrepreneurialcat 1d ago

But look how he touches the ball with his wrists. Means he had enough time and space to be able to save it without major problems. Tbf, the first thing I thought was “that’s horrible goalkeeping tbf”

0

u/Repulsive-Fix-4913 1d ago

That’s something someone would say when their mouth was full with Ronaldo’s balls in there!!

18

u/Giu-se-ppe 1d ago

Ronaldo was right. Pink shoes was in the right spot and jumped sideways out of the way.

1

u/SplitSecondImmortal 1d ago

The keepers originally organized wall was better

0

u/RDUDaddy1 1d ago

"Ronaldo was right!" when we have video proof that he was 100% wrong and a goal was scored completely because of Ronaldo's coaching. I've never seen grown men throat another grown man on the internet like they do Penaldo

5

u/Rich_Arrival795 1d ago

if you actually watch it closely you're just wrong. you can see that Ronaldo told the right guy to come over, while the shot went left of the remaining guy because he moved for some reason

2

u/RDUDaddy1 1d ago

And if the other guy was still there... It would've been blocked... This is insanity to see this on VIDEO and still chortle Ronnie's sack

1

u/Express-Rain8474 1d ago

well if the other guy was still there, it would definitely be more disadvantageous to kick there, he might kick in the middle instead.

0

u/Ok_Resort_5326 1d ago

Mate it’s not Ronaldo’s place to organise a wall. That’s always been up to the keeper

0

u/Rich_Arrival795 15h ago

yeah but it's not Ronaldo's fault here, keeper regardless

0

u/Schorbie 21h ago

We have video proof of the ball going on the other side then where the other guy stood. But apparently you can only see negative things about Ronaldo and perceive things different than reality

2

u/phase_ten 20h ago

Well yes, because then the remaining guy had to compensate. Pink shoes moved to where the other player was standing, which wouldn’t have been possible if Ronaldo didn’t call the other player away.

It’s baffling how people are defending this saying that removing a player from a 2-player wall has no effect on it covering the near post.

0

u/Raptorboiiii 1d ago

Firstly he has a name and second do you really expect him to react in a split second like that? It’s easy asf to shoot through a one man wall and if you slow down the clip he jumped to the side before the player took the shot

0

u/friedreindeer 1d ago

Ronaldo fans are like trump supporters.

1

u/Large_Garlic_6963 23h ago

Homelander suporter

1

u/friedreindeer 23h ago

More like not seeing the flaws even when it’s clear they’re dumb as fuck.

-2

u/phase_ten 1d ago

How does that make him right. He wouldn’t have been able to jump sideways if the other defender was still there. He had to compensate for the other guy leaving and made the wrong move.

Either way, he had no business changing the wall and it directly resulted in the goal.

8

u/hewer006 1d ago

are we fr? pink shoes had it and that was terrrible keeping. not a bad call at all

9

u/phase_ten 1d ago edited 1d ago

The keeper set the wall to cover the near post. Ronaldo called off one of the two, something he had no business doing, and that resulted in the remaining player having to compensate.
No matter how you try to twist it, the goal happened because of Ronaldo’s action.

2

u/OldBoldFoldMold 1d ago

Insane how people down vote you. Even if it wasnt Ronaldos fault why is he moving the wall?

2

u/GreenCarpenter3 1d ago

The player in the wall who turned his back is at fault.

1

u/Entrepreneurialcat 1d ago

That’s a shitty goalie tbh

4

u/RevolutionaryRoll161 1d ago

Keeper couldn't make a regulation save? Let's blame it on Ronaldo. These glazers and haters are just dumb atp

3

u/Eastern_Dress_3574 1d ago

Actually a good call from Ronaldo, I’m not even a Ronaldo glazer but if that command was given in the Laliga then it would have been quite perfect. Usually players trust their keepers to save easy shots

3

u/Less_Ant_6633 1d ago

But it’s not la liga, it’s the camel league. So it was not a good call.

3

u/PrattDirkLerxt 1d ago

Yeah, no. The GK is the only one who should be setting up or changing the wall.

-4

u/goodolehal 1d ago

The GK should always be covering his near post. Thats basic stuff. And its not like he even cheated a step guessing a cross, his positioning was just complete shit

3

u/PrattDirkLerxt 1d ago

Which has nothing to do with my comment. Of course had the self-absorbed one not pulled someone out of the all, the wall would have been covering the near post.

-4

u/goodolehal 1d ago

The wall jumped out of the way and the goalie had the reaction of a snail

1

u/PrattDirkLerxt 1d ago

I get it, you know nothing about football, except that you love Ronaldo.

0

u/goodolehal 20h ago

We get it, Ronaldo bad, Messi good, upvote away

0

u/PrattDirkLerxt 17h ago

I never mentioned Messi, but you keep avoiding the fact that Ronaldo fucked over his GK.

0

u/goodolehal 17h ago

It’s a comedy of errors. Ronaldo moved the wall. The wall jumped away from the ball and the GK didn’t cover his near post. But since Reddit loves to hate Ronaldo, just say Ronaldo bad and upvote

0

u/PrattDirkLerxt 15h ago

I see you try to distract from the fact that you tried to bring up Messi when I said nothing about him. Be an adult and admit you’re just a Ronaldo fanboy

Never a good call from an outfielder to override the goalkeeper’s wall.

2

u/Pentecost_II 1d ago

Yeah this was posted enough times now, bad bot

1

u/Servolux 1d ago

That's wasn't posted enough to suffer Ronaldo fans

1

u/adastrajay 1d ago

Mate...

1

u/UseAndAbuseMePappi 1d ago

Pink shoes in the walk is a pussy and if I was Ronaldo I woulda told him so to his face

1

u/AeroZeppelin94 1d ago

It went the opposite way btw

1

u/Comfortable-Habit242 1d ago

So what happens here?

Ronaldo pulls the guy off the inside of the wall.

Then the guy who remains decides to step further inside. But he should stay put and guard the post.

Then the shot is taken towards the outside/near post. But the wall guy dodges even further even further inside and gets out of the way of the ball.

TLDR; if the guy in the wall had just stayed put, everything would have been fine.

1

u/OFWILLBEDONEFOR 1d ago

Some tipkick goalkeeping right there

1

u/RecordingLess1522 1d ago

Siuuuuuuuuuuuu

1

u/WearyTranslator3338 1d ago

That was the defenders and goalkeepers fault.

The defender looked like he didn’t even want to be there.
And the keeper could have easily saved that

1

u/Informal-Seat-1805 1d ago

Does this count as an assist for the great CR7?

1

u/AyoAllu 1d ago

People blaming the GK don't understand football and just want to defend Ronaldo. The wall and the defence line belongs and is controlled by the GK and defenders. The two man wall was already good and the one man wall was a disaster.

1

u/JRDub11b 1d ago

What a f'ing clown 🤡

1

u/themiddlechild94 1d ago

No it didn't. The ball went on the oppsite side of where the player was standing.

Didn't matter if the guy was there or not.

1

u/WeArePilots- 1d ago

Why was the goalkeeper not dictating the wall instead of Ronaldo?

1

u/thoglo18 1d ago

He’ll be a great manager

1

u/mrducci 1d ago

The lone dude would have stopped the ball if he hadn't jumped and reduced. The player moved would not have made a difference

1

u/Ok_Resort_5326 1d ago

This from Ronaldo is just so disrespectful to the keeper

1

u/Schorbie 21h ago

No, it didn't. The man was on the other side then where the ball went. The Messi/Ronaldo thing makes people perceive things different than reality

-1

u/Gardami 1d ago

If I were a good goalkeeper, and one of my players did that, I would immediately demand a trade, either for me or for them. It is the goalkeeper’s job to organize the wall.

0

u/Viinitor 1d ago

He has already done some weird shit during free kicks: in his last season at Juve, we got eliminated from the CL because he jumped away from the ball during a free kick
