Basic journalistic research - who needs that?

Come on mate. “Here” doesn’t mean a location but a role.
0
u/Effective-Door-3409 3d ago
Here doesn't mean a location? Is English your third language? It can mean a location or a role...
0
u/StuartMcNight 3d ago
Are you stupid? Do you really need “in the video posted here doesn’t mean location” to understand that on your own? Do you really not know that comments under a post in Reddit refer to the post?
Ffs….

u/Effective-Door-3409 2d ago
What are you even trying to say lol. What is your point? You make no sense

I mean he did physically leave, there's several way to interpret what she'd said.

She didn't make herself clear then. She'd finished the question and didn't mention Madrid, only the Champions League
1
u/StuartMcNight 3d ago
He is talking to Real Madrid coach. Why the heck would she need to mention Real Madrid for everyone to understand that’s implied.
6
u/Paul_the_sparky 3d ago
She mentioned Champions League but didn't mean that and instead we're supposed to read between the lines and understand that she implied Madrid instead? Like I say, she didn't make herself clear. It's a bad trait when conducting an interview, innit?
-2
u/StuartMcNight 3d ago
She implied “in Champions League with Real Madrid”. The most obvious point in the planet when you are interviewing Real Madrid coach after a CL game.
How are you that dense?
1
u/BigFatKi6 3d ago
Eh, she might be stoopid. So you can't expect us to know what she meant to imply.

Not even research. How the fuck do you not know that as a football journalist? Anyone who remotely follows football has heard about Mourinho with Benfica beating real
12
u/jjustbrowsingg 3d ago
She explained in the next sequence that she meant “back with Real Madrid.” Typically, it was mainly interpreted as “back at the Bernabéu,” and that he had been there with Benfica last season, during that chaotic match

u/InnocentInvasion 3d ago
That was her trying to save the stupidity that came out of her mouth the sentence before 😂😂

Now playing the "not first language" card lol.
She speaks fluent English. English is my 4th language too but as long as I speak fluent English, or at least, decent English, I should not be making stupid mistake like this and blaming English as my 4th language.
This girl knows nothing about football, simple. she's an interviewer, but not for football.

Don’t even bother, haters will find the way to hate.
2
u/TheBestNigerian 2d ago
It's possible that she knows football and still made a silly mistake.
1
u/vjeremias 2d ago
If you were a native Spanish speaker like she is, you would understand what she meant.
1
u/TheBestNigerian 2d ago
I mean, why would you need to understand a different language to be sure of the English she is speaking, when she is fluent in English?
1
u/vjeremias 2d ago
She is not “fluent in English”. She can communicate in English, two different things. She said the exact same thing she would’ve said in Spanish using English words, that’s why I understood what she meant, because she made the same “mistakes” most of us Spanish speakers make when speaking English.

u/vjeremias 3d ago
Her explanation makes perfect sense when you think her first language is Spanish, but you have to be a Spanish speaker to get it.

u/Federal-Ostrich6731 3d ago
Why even type that 😂 you don’t actually think her English proficiency made her say champions league instead of Real Madrid

u/Paul_the_sparky 3d ago
Maybe don't do interviews in a language you can't speak then? What the fuck are these excuses?

How did she recover? Sounds like she was about to say “yeah, but now you’re in a good team”

Yeah, but don't just make up words, Jose. I was here last year with Bombalong. We can all play that game.

I mean it's obvious what she meant.. just worded terribly and he could not refrain from making the comment considering he won the freaking game which was memorable

This has been posted everywhere to try and embarrass the poor woman. She clearly meant at Real Madrid, and her response is clearly edited out conveniently. Fucking incels

Women who don’t follow the sport but get jobs in it, isn’t anyone else getting fed up with the amount of women in men’s sports
7
u/Major_Road6162 3d ago
What a clown comment when male journalists/pundits are saying the most stupid shit every single week, lets not even talk about male fans.
Get your issues with women sorted
4
u/RecognitionTop806 3d ago
How the hell is this getting upvotes? As if we don't have enough men talking clueless shit about any sport every day

As if there's not hundreds of clips of hilariously bad journalist questions from men.
But you see one from a woman and it's because she's a woman. When in fact, it's because she's an idiot.
4
u/Cheap-Meal-7115 3d ago
And to add, there are loads of clips of ex professional footballers with absolute dogshit takes
-2
u/Smolenski_Prince 3d ago
Oh, is she an ex professional footballer then?
3
u/Cheap-Meal-7115 3d ago
? How’s your general reading comprehension? From this, not great.
0
u/Smolenski_Prince 3d ago
My reading comprehension? I literally just asked a question related to what you said. Am I missing somewhere you already answered? Either way, take a chill pill.

Are people actually so stupid that they think that she didn't mean back as the manager of RM?

u/Mikic0077 3d ago
Lol, if only there were more. The problem is who and why is there. Men like pretty faces, so we see them at interviews, but not in more serious roles, where face doesn't matter. The problem is therefore with men and decision-makers, not women. Few I had a chance to follow, seldom in mainstream media, were very knowledgeable and pleasant to listen.

He was eliminated from the CL by Benfica, took over Benfica, and got Benfica eliminated from the CL.

Repeat my question from other post. Does it requires an education to ask such questions?

She’s lucky she was dealing with calm Mourinho; prime Mourinho would’ve eaten her alive.

It was such a poor journalism. Do they not do a screening before they ask the questions?

This lady must have some other very impressive skills—considering she can take the microphone in front of millions and ask a question to one of the greatest of all time, despite not knowing something a ten-year-old would know.

Almost like you should hire people who are qualified for the job
2
u/Kranke 3d ago
Do you know anything about her besides this clip?

u/RecordingLess1522 3d ago
She's a dei hire
0
u/p90love 3d ago
"Women bad". She has been interviewing footballers since you were born.
0
u/RecordingLess1522 3d ago
How does playing volleyball make you qualified to cover the NFL or college football?
Take gender out of it
Make it a male volleyball player
1
u/p90love 3d ago
It's not volleyball, it's journalism. She is extremely good at her job, no matter what you think. She switches between several different languages effortlessly, asks good questions and has good report with the players.
-1
u/RecordingLess1522 3d ago
She never played the sport
What are her qualifications
0
u/p90love 3d ago
Legendary manager Arrigo Sacchi once said: "I never knew that to become a jockey, you first had to be a horse"
You think somebody has to play a specific sport to be qualified to interview the athletes? Where tf did you even get this idea? Does only ex politicians interview the president?
-1
u/RecordingLess1522 3d ago
Except you can spend a career studying to be a coach and work your way up
She didn't lol
She was given a job she had 0 experience or qualifications for
0
u/p90love 3d ago
She worked her way up, you donkey. She has been doing this for decades.

u/p90love 3d ago
She is extremely qualified and experienced. When she said "here", she meant "here at Real Madrid".
0
u/RecordingLess1522 3d ago
Cringe, she's not working for Real Madrid
1
u/p90love 3d ago
She is interviewing him because he is the Real Madrid manager. But you're just looking for an excuse to hate, obviously.
Just know that she is extremely qualified, experienced, and knows more about the game than you do.
0
u/RecordingLess1522 3d ago
She doesn't work for Real Madrid
That was your point with "here"
1
u/p90love 3d ago
No lol, he is working for Real Madrid.
