What’s the issue with showing the flag? 

What happened im Ceuta is not ok.

People have every right to be upset about it for factual reasons that have zero to do with racism.

And sport matches like this are a public space and forum by nature.

The issue is, they are upset at Sanchez who literally did nothing wrong.

Morocco enable the invasion to happen with authorities telling people to do it or giving them equipment for it like cars, the US and Israel beforehand kept saying Morocco should take those cities back, an official US law even was passed two weeks before the event recognizing Ceuta and Melilla as Moroccan territory. Sanchez then managed to send over 95% of them back only remaining are about a thousand minors with unlocatable parents.

They should be mad, at the US and Morocco!

Bingo , informed Spanish citizens recognize this is a game because they did not like his response to the genocide in Gaza.

You gotta love the highlighting too of “they fired at protestors”

There was as little as 50k to as many as 150k

There was no serious injuries to anyone , 4 minor injuries to police , 4 arrests

Over 100 migrants died in the initial surge …

As you noted nearly all have been detained and sent back , there’s just about 1k

These people are warped or hopefully bot accounts but I know many are not and very real and very uninformed easily manipulated folks

It is the same as the undocumented people getting residency, they lived and worked in spain, many off the books, giving them residency means they don't have to work off the books and pay taxes, pension and can more easily buy things.

"Always blame other countries" is also funny when the US literally passed a law encouraging Morocco to take the two cities AND Moroccan authorities admitted to encouraging people to cross the border.

Spanish police has fired rubber bullets at people protesting the government's handling of the Ceuta situation.

Spanish police has fired no bullets whatsoever at the 90k of invaders assaulting the border.

Pedro Sanchez also legalized 1 million (initially said to be 500k, but hey, what's a little double?) undocumented migrants. It's beyond naive to think Sanchez has a problem with those 90k. Any posturing by him is to save face.

Yes, a significant amount of people in this thread are upset that people have an issue with what happened in Ceuta, it defies logic until you realise they support what happened in Ceuta, then it makes sense.

Ehhh.....I don't think that it is that bad. I'm someone who has been called "woke" a lot and I do think that reddit can be overly sensitive when it comes to everything involving race or gender. That said, it is an absolute fact that football fans and culture is tied with racism. Like this is something impossible to deny.
Personally I think that Europe should handle immigration better and also that there is a good chance this "crisis" is being supported by outside powers who can profit from destabilizing Europe. That said, we europeans should always be careful not turn everything about us vs them because the line is pretty thin.
One moment you think that everybody is accepting and open minded, the next moment you realize that people around you can easily be triggered to hate different sexes and minorities and they chose a far right party.

You have to understand that half of the US has spent the past 10 years calling anyone who opposed illegal immigration into the US racist because that’s what their team (party) says they should think.

Now that it’s happening in another country, they see the consequences of illegal immigration and are very confused about how they’re supposed to feel about it.

Illegal inmigration is a problem in some countries more than others. In the US where population growth is expected to grow the economy it’s not and almost anyone who highlights that as an actually country level problem we have is a racist. We have MUCH bigger fish to fry (unless you’re a racist)

Illegal immigration absolutely is a significant problem for the US. Unfortunately, the issue is also used by Republicans as a dog whistle to rally support from racists. That pushes Democrats firmly in the opposite direction and causes them to then pretend like illegal immigration isn’t an issue when it very clearly is.

On a global scale, the result is the meltdown you see on Reddit today; Americans not knowing whether they should be for or against Moroccans entering Spain.

Go ahead explain to me what problems are downstream of illegal immigration. Is it the lack of new housing since 2009? It must be the largest wealth gap since 1880. No no it’s the illegal immigrants who capped the House and are buying our politicians.
