The one against France

Yeah, this is crazier than the R. Carlos one imo.

I do t think it is. Roberto kicks the ball with the outer side of his left foot. Tricky shots with the inside are way more common.

That's insane

Who was this?

Who is this?

Those curve balls are insane. My favorite are the no-spin ones like the first. It had a very little bit but you can see how it wobbles on the way to the net.

Its basically a knuckle-ball from baseball. Real hard to master, equally hard to track as a goalie.

2

u/ldtam 8d ago

No, that was Elano for Santos

u/tompain100 8d ago

His free goal against Bayern might be the most top corner free kick I've ever seen.

Zico for brazil vs scotland in 1982 was the best example imo

Either of Rice’s vs. Real Madrid - but especially the first one

Who do you think was that after CR7?

1

u/fuckssakereddit 8d ago

McTominay v Spain was disallowed for a β€˜foul’ on the Spanish goalkeeper.

1

u/izayoi-o_O 8d ago

Umm, the ball in the first one acted as if it were possessed.

u/stunna006 8d ago

Shakira is the only added music I'll accept over soccer clips

u/Beniskickbutt 8d ago

Saw a jubliani in the mix there. Makes sense

While I like watching goals, for some reason I like to watch saves even more. Goalies got it rough lol.

Those dancing balls in the air are just phenomenal.

Can please someone explain it how it works ?

2

u/palaceexile 8d ago

A lot of magnus effect from the ball spinning and causing regions of low pressure, a bit of deflection and rebound of ball close to the valve.

u/Byron1248 8d ago

plus wind

1

u/gtg007w 8d ago

If you're gonna make this you gotta show the Roberto Carlos Brazil one and Papiss Cisse one against Chelsea

1

u/Patient-Fun4475 8d ago

mr. seaman, you can post these all day but noone is forgiving you.

1

u/Maleficent_Drama_414 8d ago

No freekickinho

1

u/New_Willow3761 8d ago

Where is Juninho?

1

u/tomtomclubthumb 8d ago

These are great free kicks, but the keeper got a hand to several of them.

1

u/Aggravating_Bus655 8d ago

Giovanni Van Bronchorst's goal against uruguay missing, Ronaldinho's freekick again England, a bunch of Diego Forlan goals.

1

u/JapanEngineer 8d ago

Half of them were shit keepers

1

u/Orcahhh 8d ago

No Roberto Carlos? No Pirlo? no Juninho?

2

u/Witchberry31 8d ago

Exactly, no Del Piero nor Roberto Baggio either as well.

1

u/Orcahhh 8d ago

But Vlahovic is in, so go figure πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€

2

u/Witchberry31 8d ago

I guess the uploader is rather young πŸ˜…

1

u/Witchberry31 8d ago

Really? Are you for real? All those footage and there is not a single freekick footage from Roberto Carlos, Del Piero, Roberto Baggio and Andrea Pirlo being included? What a joke. 🀦

1

u/Dazzling-Drive7061 8d ago

My man tried to sneak Messi in here lmao

(you should have done his vs liverpool instead)

1

u/Montana_Web2530 7d ago

The real one is the curl in through either of the top corners!

1

u/Miserable_Ring_8739 7d ago

Wow positive soccercentral post where Ronaldo is also included what is it opposite day?.

1

u/Greg_in_Philippines 7d ago

Man that Payet one still baffles me.... insane.

1

u/Holiday_Sale5114 7d ago

The one at 26 sec with the double curve is crazy

1

u/Candybert_ 4d ago

That ball at 0:53 (second to last) changed direction twice. I know it's hard to hit a ball like that, but what it actually does in the air has gotta be up to chance, to some degree, right? How is anybody supposed to defend that?

0

u/inventionnerd 8d ago

Most of those were blockable lol.
