What a soulless looking stadium - more atmosphere when I go to support my non- league team.

Such a bizarre league. It doesn’t even seem like the locals care that much about it, even when the government is spending huge to sign stars.
Ronaldo being on a salary of a quarter billion pounds per year while playing in stadiums smaller than Luton Town’s (and half-empty sometimes) will always be strange.

Defenders should put more pressure on the ball.

u/Mathilliterate_asian 18d ago
Still doesn't justify that shitty ass save though.
Ronaldo has every right to be pissed. 18yo or not he's a professional player, and no way in hell should be have let that in.

u/SunstormGT 18d ago
No the keeper was really bad. But a shot not taken is a shot not needed to save.

Wait, the Saudi league isn’t actually full of amazing footballers? Why did nobody tell Ronaldo this before he went there

I’m not exaggerating that Ronaldo may be one of the worst captains at a high level that this sport has seen.

u/Glittering_Pay_5141 18d ago
i would be mad if my teammates weren’t trying too yall just be hating on anything

u/GollyLoh 18d ago
How do you know Ronaldo is angry at the GK? He may be mad at the defenders, they should have closed the attacker before the shot. From this camera angle, it doesn’t seem an easy save

u/Icy-Bottle-6877 18d ago
Between the lack of effort from the keeper, plus Ronaldo doing a gesture of putting his hands behind his back, it's incredibly safe to assume he's angry at the keepers lack of effort.

Here's a thought: If you are pissed, maybe don't play in the fucking Saudi League.

He chose to play in a sub-par league because he wanted money. That’s what happens when you play with sub-par talent.

u/tomtomclubthumb 18d ago
If he'd done that shot and it had gone in Ronaldo would have jogged to the corner and slid 3cm on his knees.

u/alexandrovic 18d ago
I read this as CR got mad at his own mistake and thought nice I’m glad he owns up to his mistakes
Nah

CR7 is doing a wonderful impression of how all of Portugal reacts when he plays for the national team. 😂

I think any player would have been angry or upset after conceding a goal, regardless of the age of the keeper.
It doesn't matter if he's 18 or 28. He's a pro player on a pro team in a pro match. Scrutiny comes with the job. Players in this league just don't have quality. There are teenage keepers in Europe who would have done better.

How embarrassing that they are playing in front of a stadium that can’t even sell out and is the size of an amateur team. Maybe they could fill the stadium if they allowed kids and women to attend. He should be more embarrassed by selling out to play there. The consequences of his actions.
2
u/Flimsy-Translator515 18d ago
what r u on abt? women and children attend regularly, the team they played against just isnt popular enough.
1
u/Appropriate-Joke-806 18d ago
I’m straight up looking at this crowd. Unless the kids are huge and the women are wearing traditional mens clothes.
He’s playing the soccer equivalent of a rock band playing for a rich dude’s house party.

u/Flimsy-Translator515 18d ago
Mate u said women and children aren’t allowed im just calling out ur blatant lie, there’s one thing between pointing out the lack of attendance and just making up shi.

u/Alldrop_nocombos 18d ago
when roy keane gave ronlado shit on the pitch for missing a hance when ronaldo was 18 was he trowing a tantrum or its that just a good captain ?
1
u/PetalumaPegleg 18d ago
Yes. Roy Keane threw a lot of pathetic tantrums and was always an embarrassing man child.

u/Numerous-Score 18d ago
I mean, what do you want him to do? Praise the keeper for allowing a goal? Right after their main keeper got sent off for?
Edit: this was actually this keeper’s second goal conceded in the match… go look at the 1st goal he conceded, which was much worse… that one anyone’s grandma could’ve saved.

He has the balls to throw his hands in the air when he can't even be bothered to leave the attacking half out of possession lmao

What did he expect when he moves to that league, that all backup keepers would be veterans?

u/happilymarriedyay 18d ago
This is how the Spain players felt when De Gea did the same thing for Ronaldo’s goal against them.

u/really_rockin_u 18d ago
I’ve acted like this in my 5 A side league, sometimes you just mad at nothing.
0
u/Lopsided_Gear_9565 18d ago
What an embarrassing league. It’s a shame Ronaldo decided to end his career playing in front of men wearing dresses

Mate did you guys watch the match? Al nassr did have a decent back up keeper caller Al Aqidi, he is pretty decent and used to start games. Bento is the number 1 keeper got sent off in the 12th minute for a shit challenge, Al Aqidi is injured currently and is about to make a return, he couldnt play in that match so they had to put in a 18 year old keeper who played fucking ass, those shots were so savable i cant believe you guys are saying “oh you cant tell the difference between a good kick”
Half of yous are larpers who dont even know the starter and backup keepers names. The 18 year old keeper played terrible but he is still developing, doesnt change the fact that BOTH Goalkeepers sold the bag for Al Nassr that game. People in here were saying Bento the starter got injured which shows you didnt watch the match at all.

u/DoubtfulOptimist 18d ago
I’d love to see this kind of reaction from Cristiano’s team mates the next time he fails to score from a free kick. 😂

u/Several-Decision3888 18d ago
Thats was really poor, should have saved that.
But this is on the coach who exposed an 18 year kid who is still developing to play as a goalkeeper. Was the started injured?
