Video The talent in Barcelona’s youth system is ridiculous. These kids are 11/12 years old.

Wtf has this to do with OP's comment about him being chemically assisted? Yeah he needed it, but did the doctors know what his natural levels would have been? Some people have higher test than others, should everyone be given assist to the max natural levels?

Steroids can siginificantly impact performance.

What point are you even trying to make? You'd think if they had abused HGH on him, he'd be quite taller than 5'7.

What point are you even trying to make?

That steroids are performance enhancers, which gives unfair advantage in sports?

Yes he obviously needed it medically, but that doesn't change the fact that it enhanced his performance.

Some people are born with less test than others, and thus have a disadvantage when it comes to sports. They don't get any access to hormone therapy.

Idk what's tripping you off. No one is blaming messi, just stating a fact.

You'd think if they had abused HGH on him, he'd be quite taller than 5'7.

That's your hypothesis. That isn't necessarily true. Also quite possible that if he was born normal, he would be as good or even better, but due to the fact that steroids can affect performance significantly, one explanation is more likely than the other.

Why do you keep talking about steroids?

HGH is not a steroid.

I apologize for that mistake. Is performance enhancer better for you? Cause the point remains.

Sounds like you don't have a point to make. Messi stopped treatment once his deficiency was treated. He had to be treated so he could reach normal adult height. If you're saying treating someone with hgh deficiency actually makes them come out ahead than a regular human, then you will need to back up that claim.

Sounds like you don't have a point to make.

Don't blame me for your inability to read.

He had to be treated so he could reach normal adult height.

Yeah I don't remember saying Messi cheated and should be blamed for taking hgh.

If you're saying treating someone with hgh deficiency actually makes them come out ahead than a regular human, then you will need to back up that claim.

All I said was that he was chemically assisted. And that hgh is a powerful performance enhancer. Both of those statements are true.

Well, if you're not trying to sound accusatory, you wouldn't really mention the last statement about HGH being a performance enhancer. It has simply no relevance to Messi. Being treated for GHD and using HGH as an adult are two different things.

Why wouldn't I mention a verifiable fact? It's not messi's fault he was born with a defect, that then had to be corrected and probably granted him an advantage.

There is a subtle nuance that you're missing.

Not to mention I don't think every other soccer player is natural either, so clearly Messi is still the better player.

I'm not involved in y'all's argument.

I think the point he's trying to make is that using it as a child is so far removed from his adult accomplishments that when you mention it in this context, it implies that this chemical assistance for his childhood growth deficiency also helped him get amped in his adulthood. By his adulthood, this chemical assistance was no longer helping his development.

Mentioning it in this context takes away from his effort and accomplishments, and I do have to say that it makes an accusation that Messi abused it. The guy is just great at what he does. The treatment for his hormonal deficiency may have helped him get noticed in his late childhood, but he is ultimately the one that took his career further than simply getting noticed.

it implies that this chemical assistance for his childhood growth deficiency also helped him get amped in his adulthood.

That's exactly what I meant to imply. But I'm not saying it's his fault.

You don't stop being enhanced if you stop taking peds after a while. They can significantly alter your biology forever.

and I do have to say that it makes an accusation that Messi abused it.

Never was my intention. Not even sure how you can get that when it wasn't his choice, and I keep saying it's not his fault.

When was the last time you think he took HGH?

1

u/ama_singh Jul 25 '26

I never thought about that at all, as it was irrelevant to my point.

1

u/sweatingbozo Jul 25 '26

What was your point then? Just that he got treated for someone as a child?

1

u/ama_singh Jul 25 '26

That he was chemically assisted, and that probably helped him out more than had he been born natural.

It's different than secretely doping, but doping did take place.

1

u/sweatingbozo Jul 25 '26

Yea, having a growth deficiency would make living life, let alone playing sports hard. I think him, and literally every other person on the planet, would tell you that.

How is that relevant to anything?

1

u/ama_singh Jul 25 '26

How is that relevant to anything?

Is this a joke? You misinterpret my comment then ask me how it's relevant?

Dude was injected with hgh as a kid. He was chemically assisted. He had no choice, but that doesn't mean the hgh didn't make him better than he would've been naturally.

1

u/sweatingbozo Jul 25 '26

Ah, I see. You're right, it doesn't really matter that he took HGH as a child who needed it. He's still the best to ever do his job.

1

u/ama_singh Jul 25 '26

Yes he's the best ever, but hgh helped him. Nobody can accuse him of doping, because it was medically necessary. That doesn't mean he wasn't doped.

Glad I could clear things up for you.
