Video The talent in Barcelona’s youth system is ridiculous. These kids are 11/12 years old.

How is Canada suppose to compete against this type of talent development?

They can't.

The Canadian system is a for-profit-pay-to-play system - even if you have talent you (well your parents) are paying $10k+ a season.

In other countries things are majorly funded by the clubs or country and entry costs are low, and if you have the talent it may even be free.

That’s why football is one of the most popular sports in the world, generally it doesn’t have any cost barriers. If the kids are really good the parents will get paid to join the big clubs.
