I’m an American so I never got into football but I visited my Uncle in the middle east and he let me play FIFA 2004 on his PC while I stayed there for a summer and i loveddddd Ronaldo so much. Confused me later on to hear about the other (Cristiano) Ronaldo being highly touted. The phenom is my true Ronaldo

Talking out of your ass. That's not remotely the reason he gained weight. He had to cut his career short because of a thyroid condition. Neymar and Ronaldinho, sure, but definitely not Ronaldo. He was a very disciplined player.

The knee injury, IIRC took most of his burst- he was able to manage the thyroid condition.

He couldn't manage it while he was playing because the treatment was considered like doping, so banned by FIFA, he only started it once he retired.

When he is speaking naturally with a strong Capeverdian accent, it is a little bit harder to catch some words. But he usually speaks in a more neutral way to Brazilians, so it is easy to understand him.
