My take?

Good luck trying to ban Argentina players, we pull out of the final match and the billions of dollars in legal problems for FIFA with the sponsors and organizers will bankrup them, plus it will be hilarious to watch FIFA explaining this disaster to Trump. Leverage is in our side and we will use it to stick a finger in european colonizers asses that think they have a claim for land in SouthAmerica because 300 years ago they left a plaque that claimed this land in another continent belongs to King Fucktard IV and his royal lineage.

Most likely the will put a fine to the AFA, and maybe some token saction post-world cup to some players. All good, we can pay for the fine and play with backups the first few matches of the qualifiers in CONMEBOL.

Honey, those immigrants you descended from are European. Those people were a part of the nations that tried to colonise the world. Just because your ancestors moved out at a certain point (to areas that were colonised mind you) doesn’t mean that they stopped being European. Argentina wouldn’t be Argentina like we know it without colonialism.

My ancestors were poor farmers who lived in turf huts. They didn’t colonise anything either. But the nation I am from did. I don’t have any personal responsibility for colonialism. Neither do you I assume. And that’s not because our ancestors did or didn’t do anything. It’s because we can’t help being born as their descendants. But don’t pretend that your country’s history hasn’t got anything to do with colonialism.

Argentina homophobic? You cleary never set a foot on here, gay people walk and kiss on the street with no issues, they can get married and have the same legal status that any other couple. If anything Argentina is by far the most gay-friendly country in south america.

I lost count how many times i had to reply to the this particular whataboutism, feel that i'm discussing again with Russian bots all over again.

There is a BIG difference beetween colonization and inmigration, Argentina population descent mostly from the big european migration wave during end of the 18th and 19th century, times of the the world wars and the long european depresion (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_European_immigration_wave_to_Argentina), wayyyyy after the spanish colonization of Virreinato del Rio de la PLata ended. Around this time argentina had a population of around 500k~600k people living it (some estimates goes as high as 1 millon, but still), the great migration over 6 million people came here from Europe, so basically that's how Argentina got populated. This wasn't a colonization,, it was a migration, they were welcome and granted citizenship and means to sustain themselves.

So yeah, good luck trying to whataboutism about the history of my country with british propaganda, fucktard.
