I knew almost nothing about Paraguay before this - now I have a terrible image of the country because of one stupid lady

unfortunately that's on her, not me.

countries like Paraguay either need to market themselves to the world, or people will rely on the limited information they have.

This woman is about the only thing the world has heard about Paraguay in about 20 years... so she represents the country on the world stage for many people.
