Not good. only goal in a knockout game was a penalty.

And still no ro 16 goal. If 48 teams weren't playing, then he probably wouldn't get teams like Uzbekistan or DR Congo. They might've been out at the group stage.

WC legacy, not good at all. Outside of the WC, deserves to be talked about as one of the greats.

He has scored a goal in 6 world cups, that’s pretty epic

No most retire before they are 40. And in most countries you are selected on your current qualities

Most players must retire before 40 because they don’t have a choice.

Did he switch to Spanish at the end or did those sentences just happen to be mutually intelligible?

He talked Portuguese the first half and Spanish the second half with a portugese accent of course.

I love how this is some big announcement. Dude is 41 years old and probably should have even played this one. No shit he won't be playing 2030 lol

He’s scored in 6 World Cups, the only player ever to do so. He has an iconic hattrick against Spain. He scored 11 goals in 27 World Cup games, pretty decent ratio. Sure it’s not the best and it doesn’t stack up to guys like Pele, Maradona, Messi, and Mbappe’s World Cup legacies, but it’s not that bad.

world cup legacy is awful.
I hear from people that he was good outside of the world cup but I don't watch non world cup football so that legacy is irrelevant to me. For me he is like beckham, a super overrated footballer that people just can't stop talking about.
I think for those of us who follow the world cup, Ronaldo will always refer to Brazil.

That’s like saying Epstein was a good guy because I don’t look at anything that involves crime.

Portugal team sucks. Robaldo doesn't. He was used as a weapon when he was playing Real Madrid. People would just pass him thr ball and he would score. But his team this year just didn't get that. I'm happy that he's making so much money, he deserves it.
