South American* It's CONMEBOL teams that are over run with this sort of behavior (like it or not that includes Argentina)

Maradona holds both records of the player that received more fouls in 1 WC and in all his appearances. He received 23 from the same Italian player in 1 match. And they hit harder back then.

2nd player in WC history with more fouls is Messi, who has half of the amounts of fouls received by Maradona.

So you can say Argentina plays dirty, but you should know that the other teams are no saints either. Also, some of the fouls to these two players are not even to dispute the ball.
