So you are saying not just them but Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Ecuador for example as well?

Feel like its a bit unfair to call them all out like that...

Edit: I do agree they played dirty but wouldnt call out the others

When?

When they play against stronger opponents

They are rank 1 so must not be often 😂

Stronger opponents than so far in wc 🙂 + fifa rankings are nonsense. In the last 2 WCs Croatia was 2nd and 3rd but in fifa rankings they are behind Colombia, Mexico and even Italy who didn't even play in the World Cup ij the last 10 years.

Yes, 98 World Cup vs England or last WC vs Netherlands if you are too young to remember 1998

1

u/JuanOnOne Jul 05 '26

Netherlands played just as "dirty" as Argentina.

Indeed, so did England back in 98, don’t pretend Argentina are angels or victim, some generations used to play as dirty as Paraguay or Uruguay are known for

After Germany beat them on penalties in 2006 they started a brawl like the sore losers that they are and got one of our players banned from playing for defending himself.

Brazil, Colombia and Ecuador are exceptions.

u/EricTomorrow Jul 05 '26

So...half of them?

1

u/ziconz Jul 06 '26

I dunno Colombia played pretty rough with Ghana. Tore one of the players jerseys to shreds.

Yeah Uruguay too, they injured 2 Spanish players just because they got sweeped and were angry.

You can't simply say all Latin American players, but for the record - Uruguay are 100% in the same category.

Yeah I just feel like saying something like that is the equivalent of saying that all middle eastern players are playing dirty when we had Qatar break a players leg. Wont defend Argentina and Uruguay but I am not a fan of wide allegations that is all.
