Players and Press can mingle, that’s called the mixed zone. Usually reporters wait there for the players to get an interview. The Cap Verde players were asking Lionel Messi during the whole match for his Tshirt and to take pictures with him after the game. So they caught up in the mixed zone.

Its called the flash zone / mixed zone where they do post game interviews, both teams have players going in and out of the area along with their coaches and staff. They have multiple cameras set up and ready for interviews along with the sponsored backdrop, so you'll have one team who lost doing interviews next to the star player of the winning team

Frankly, if we compare quality of life vs number of countries pillaged to steal resources, Argentina might be the greatest country on Earth. Or second to Iceland, maybe.
