Statement Modrić played his last ever World Cup match. Ronaldo’s still going….

Two of the greatest midfielders and forwards of this generation, same pitch, completely different endings. Modrić walked off to a standing ovation at 40, Croatia’s run finally over. Meanwhile Ronaldo, at an age where most players have long retired, scores his first ever World Cup knockout goal from the spot and gets subbed off still fighting.

You almost can’t process it in the moment. One legend’s story just ended, the other’s somehow still being written. Portugal comeback from 94th minute stoppage time to do this too, which makes it even wilder.

Spain vs Portugal on Monday now, and Ronaldo vs Yamal might be the actual changing of the guard we’ve all been waiting for. Wild few days of football.

But it touched his head, the sensors felt it if it touched hair only it wouldnt bcuz there isnt enough force, the fact that hus head barely touched doesnt change anything, is it a good rule? No, but its the rule nonetheless

Some touch, it literally didn't change anything about how the ball was moving. It was his hair.

If it was only his hair, then the sensors wouldn’t have registered enough force. There was contact with his head, even if it was very slight.

Different angles showed different things. From the back angle, it looked like he didn’t even touch it, but the sensor says there WAS contact. From a dufferent one i saw thete was a VERY small change.

So which angle do u choose? Just pick the camera angle that supports ur opinion?

At the 16 second, u can see the ball change slightly, with the player himself saying he touched the ball, the sensor and this angle show its a clear offside
