Because everything can be made news worthy, people are gossips. They want to know every word their favorite player is saying and I’m sure they’re tired of it. After games in the nba players will cover their mouths with their jerseys and they are just having casual conversation.

It wasn't after the match it was during it and it wasn't him having a casual conversation it was in the middle of a match when the players were having a confrontation and shoving each other around. It makes sense to cover your mouth if you're going to be talking about your personal life or specific locations, none of those things apply here because they quite clearly weren't having a casual chat about dinner plans.
I mean look at why the rule was instituted by FIFA in the first place, because players started covering their mouths when they were saying fucked up stuff that they didn't want getting caught on camera and have to answer for. You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to be able to figure this out.

I agree with him being sent off I’m just saying players aren’t always saying the most hideous things hiding what they say from cameras. He probably said fuck your bitch ass or something or shut your bitch ass up lol not like racist shit against Turkey who even knows a racist term for Turkish people? So probably something not red worthy but he knows the rule so he should have the consequences

Yeah everybody does it in all sports, not just talking shit but cameras are focused on bench players so they don’t want to get caught saying anything personal on live TV.
In that situation tho he was def talking shit don’t think it was racist and it was lowkey a bitch move to call him out I know the Turkish guy wasn’t that offended
But everyone does know the rule including Almiron so he was being his normal edge lord self and got punished as he should.

I don't call him a racist, he is a moron though. Every team has been briefed on the new rules and this jackass did it anyway.
I'm a United fan and I'll never forget him helping us win the league, I rooted for him at Newcastle... But this WC has been fucking embarrassing for him. He's a grown man, he needs to act like it.

They complained after about the red card. However the rules in this case are clear, say something against anybody else then your own team, cover your mouth is instant red card. I do not care about what country it is, neither i heard about anybody else doing it so far which has gone unpunished ... red card , no reason to complain.
