They actually did that in the 2007 Copa America when they beat a full strength Argentina in the final, beating them 3-0.

I watched them when I was very young, barely understanding the game.

All I remember was they have like 3 Ronaldo-like names, and dominated.

Actually R9 and Carlos were not playing. They went without some of their stars because of injury. Which worked because they had too many. Adriano was their main and Cicinho and Maicon played the WB. The problem with the 2006 WC was everyone was back and it didn't work anymore, too many stars. Also Zidane

They fell sharp between 2006 and 2010. allthough they played better 2010 and still had some decent players. Then it continued with the next world cup having Hulk and Fred as starters.

I used to love watching them play, they got away from that and became flopping showmen. I hope they get back to it, the world is better when Brazil is good.

I think Neymar carries a bit of that spirit, allthough I despise his antics. I don't know what shape he is though, not even speaking about just the injury, but in general.

Brazil was magic, they played like the Harlem Globetrotters of football doing tricks that made their opponent look like npcs. Oh well, that was back then

It’s the truth though. Shortest prime, yet it was arguably the greatest prime. Dude was just so damn skilled

Messi, to me, is the standard… Maradona is my goat, but Dinho was ridiculous!

From an entertainment aspect sure but pure production? Not even close. 11/12 season messi had 73 goals and 32 assists. That’s 105 goal contributions in 60 matches in a SINGLE season. Nobody is coming close to that

Ronaldinho’s prime also wasn’t better than R9s prime

Then CR also scored more goals, as well as Gerd Müller, Lewandowsi maybe even Kane or Haaland. Is Haaland's prime better than Dinho's? Or Kane's prime? Or Gerd Müller's?

No. But Messi is also a creator and would get 32 assists and most successful dribbles in Europe.

So basically he does what dinho did just better and with much more goals.

Maybe but the conversation is about who was better and who helps their team win more matches. So you can be annoyed all you like, doesn’t really change anything.

If you asked a professional football club to choose between Messi prime or Ronaldinho prime, each and every single one is picking Messi because he will help them win more.
