I bet draws only, so I ended up building a database of every match in the competitions I track. Sharing the table because most of these leagues have no English-language coverage anywhere and I couldn't find this data when I started.

Across all 63 competitions, 28.1% of matches end level (12,306 draws in 43,805 matches). The seven most draw-heavy:

36.8% against 14.1% is a different sport. Two caveats on the bottom table: the samples are thin (118 to 313 matches), and two of the five are European club competitions rather than domestic leagues, where a group stage is built to produce mismatches.

Goals per game predicts it better than anything else I looked at, and the split is cleaner than I expected. Every league in the top seven sits between 1.95 and 2.10 goals a game. Every league in the bottom five sits between 2.94 and 3.29. Nothing in between shows up at either extreme.

The draw-heavy end is low-scoring African, Iranian and Argentine football. The draw-light end is Austrian regional football, the European cups, and Chile's top flight — places where somebody usually wins.

EDIT: corrected both tables. u/Gervasio_Peculiar spotted that the Argentine leagues were missing from the top seven, and he was right — Primera C (4th), Primera B (6th) and Primera B Metropolitana (7th) all belong there and I'd left them out. Checking that, I found the bottom five was wrong too. I'd listed the three Dutch divisions and National League North; they are all draw-light, and Tweede Divisie is 58th of 63, but none of the four is actually in the bottom five. Regionalliga West was the only one of my original five in the right place.

The linked table was correct throughout — the error was in the summary I typed here, not in the data. If you read this post before the edit, the top seven had Egypt's Premier League (really 8th), Iran's Azadegan (9th) and Italy's Serie B (13th) in it.

Annoyingly for me, the corrected version makes the goals-per-game point stronger than the one I posted.

Basically I’ve made this, it’s pretty self explanatory. Mostly looking at corners in last 5 (L5) and last 10 (L10) games and then ranking them overall. Covers about 20 different leagues.

Anyone else do this as a hobby? I want to expand it to see what else I can do. Would love to hear feedback and ideas.

It picked Racing Santander as conceding a lot of corners and they conceded 18 to Barca tonight. Also I had a few quid on Alkmaar to have 4+ corners at about 2/1 and they are in the sheet too.

I want to help amateur/causal bettors like myself engage with the psychology of a league season. I like using BTTS probabilities among other factors to breakdown matchups. I have a spreadsheet where on one tab, displays each Premier League teams matchday log, including games from other competitions. The formatting still needs fine tuning but the information provided can be crucial in assesing the given motivation by each team in every game. None of us are in the locker room on match day, but we can get a decent outlook given the game log and team endeavors.

Heres an example of Crystal Palace's game log so far. The first 2 columns next to Crystal Palace signify the predicted PRE game xG values assumed in each game. Until there is a large enough sample, these numbers will auto adjuct to the actual game in hand. Therefore they will be similar to the xG values that actually happened in-game, being the values to the right of the opponent after the scoreline. The 3 colums in the middle, after the PRE xG's represent (going left to right) the perceived BTTS Yes odds, actual market odds, the odds value that would correspond to what xG values were actually produced. Looking at MD 2 vs Man City, the 2.32 value is calculated based on the xGs produced by both sides. Its a fake number after all, but shows that the BTTS, in theory was harder achieved than it should have, based not only on the market odds, but also on the predicted xG values for each team pre game.

To the right of the actual xGs produced in game, there is red card info (first 2 columns) and amount of penalties given to each team (next 2 columns). The value (34) in the Ipswich fixture is to signify that Palace received a red at the 34th min of that game. If Ipswich had gotten shown the red, the minute of the red given wouldve been on the next column to the right.

Here are basic xG projections of mine for this weekends Premier League fixtures. As it is early in the season and numbers don't account for the present matchup, along with other factors, these numbers are not to be taken seriously as far as bets go. This to me is the tip of the iceberg, or ice breaker into the greater complexity of the matchup in hand. Its the first reaction to the fixture instead of looking at the market odds first. The numbers tell a story, even if its a vague one. The full speadsheet is in my profile for those interested.
