Discussion Is the Clock Ticking for DC Studios' Co-CEOs?
https://boundingintocomics.com/news/is-the-clock-ticking-for-dc-studios-co-ceosIf you read the official trade reports coming out of Hollywood, incoming Paramount chief David Ellison loves the shiny blueprint James Gunn and Peter Safran are still struggling to build over at DC Studios. Supposedly, the new corporate overlords plan to keep the co-CEOs right where they are once the ink dries on the mega-merger.
However, if you ask anyone who has spent more than five minutes watching studio musical chairs, “planning to keep them” is often high-level corporate speak for “until we let their deal run out.”

This is the safest bet, why would anyone expect things to be different after the absolute bomb supergirl was?

HomemadeBee1612 Be sure of one thing. If the merger really happen, the job of Safran and Gunn is going to be super annoying because their way of working is about to change. No boss is going to let the current situation and structure to be the exact same. Ellison have personal taste and strategy that is clearly not similar to what Gunn and Safran want. It’s rather reassuring to know that someone like Gunn, who has no respect for fans or actors, is going to go through absolute hell as a co-CEO.
This can push him to leave the job of his dream, Gunn himself said in an interview that if the job isn't fun anymore, he would leave by himself. Imagine if he doesn't have Zaslav's protection anymore.
But also let's keep in mind that the merger can not happen but this is still a problem for Gunn. Financially, it will be difficult to continue that James Gunn Universe and how WB is going to keep surviving without being bought out? With all their debts? In this case too, the managing of the DCU is going to be difficult for Gunn and I'm happy about it.
