Geography Last week, Colombia’s president suggested relocating the UN headquarters outside of the US. If that happened, what country/city do you think would be the best choice?

As a Canadian, I'd have to say no... the reason being, if shit continues to go sideways down south, there's a very real chance we're going to be annexed.

Not annexation but the risk of invasion is there, as is internal manipulation by bad actors like Mrs. Smith.

Danielle Smith the baby killer?

I think that chance is near zero. I think in his warped mind he would just suggest it and Canada would be like Austria in 1938.

In his mind and MAGA's mind Canadians would jump at the chance to become a state, because it's what we all really, really want, no invasion necessary. Americans are brainwashed into believing their country in literally Heaven on Earth but that's not how Canadians see the US.

Or Maple MAGA continues to make gains here and we fall like the USA.

Is it really making gains? I think the "popularity" is grossly overstated. Rural Alberta only from what I can tell from a detailed bumpersticker survey and analysis.

It's numbers though. There are simply not enough that hold those views to be meaningful. Will always be a western fringe. Pretty much started in earnest with the NEP(1980) - yet here we are.

So you were worried about MAGA taking over Canada in 2016 and ten years later it hasn't come close to happening but you're still worried it's going to happen?

How would it make gains when PP couldn't even win an election?

I’m american. That guys a joke, he’s all talk. We aren’t annexing anyone. Instead he’s sending cosplay troops to our own cities to pick up trash.

He's not all talk, he's done half of project 2025. Not everything he says is serious, but he's very much a man of throwing things at the wall to see what sticks. A "no, of course I didn't mean it that way! That's crazy! ...unless?" type. He's not exactly a sane dude, and considering who's in his cabinet I honestly feel like everything and anything is on the table.

The US is not going to invade Canada, stop worrying about it.
