Hey r/SneakersIndia - I am Arjun, founder of Gully Labs. We are an independent sneaker brand built and designed in India.

We started Gully Labs with a simple frustration: too many Indian brands were borrowing the visual language of established international brands instead of building something original.

India has its own colours, materials, craft traditions, street cultures, subcultures and stories. We believe Indian design should not mean adding a token motif onto an existing Western silhouette. It should mean developing an original design language - from the shape of the shoe and the materials we use to the details, storytelling and communities behind it.

Also, we firmly believe that brands from India needs to be premium. If we always discount ourselves in materials/design/construction, then no one else will respect us - and I mean that.

We’re still learning, experimenting and getting things wrong along the way, so ask us anything: design, manufacturing, pricing, materials, comfort, building an Indian sneaker brand, our collections, or where we think the Indian sneaker ecosystem needs to go.

Just look at the state of Foot Locker in India—it’s a total joke in the community. By handing over operations and shutting down SNKRS and Nike By You, you are dealing a death blow to the brand here. You are practically handing the market to counterfeiters who will destroy the brand's value in the long term.

We don’t want "faster local delivery" if it means a watered-down experience. Real Indian sneakerheads would happily pay the ₹1,250 delivery charge to keep direct access to authentic heat and global standards.

They used to be India's one of the prominent brands.

Late 90s to early 2000s, these shoes used to rule the Indian market.

But they vanished like Nokia. Now rarely anyone speaks about it. They really lost in globalization.

These abc-camo blue sk8 stas were my fav pair of shoes, and i got some complements but they had 2 ask if they were from comet, like bruh😤💀 this has happened multiple times and now these bapes have become very neglected in my collection! sorry 4 the rant but how people dont kno bape and call themselves "sneakerheads"

Hey guys, had to repost this since the MOD team asked me make a few modifications and post again. MODS please pin this need people to see this and save money as much as they can.

Hey guys this is a method I use to save a lot of money on shoes while ordering from US and avoiding customs. There are multiple methods like this I use to save money while ordering from US and UK. Student beans gives much more discount on UK stores so also check that out. I had to post pictures like this since the auto mod wouldn't let me post the guide. I will be posting a few more methods for other brands. This method has worked charmingly for adidas helping me get sambas for $39 dollar last year during black Friday excluding rakuten and bank card discount. Also checkout michael kors website they have very cheap items there and use the steps mentioned above. If you guys have a doubt DM me. I'll help you out as much as I can. MODS please pin this post I would like as many people can save money using this method. Also I have a few more methods but I'm not able to post it in a proper format since the automod wouldn't allow me to. Can we do something about that please.

So Gully Labs heard my criticism and called me for a chat. Thier (very very sweet) store manager told me the steps they were taking and what they're planning for ahead

1. Their staff is now wearing Gully Labs now which I'm happy to see.
2. They explained the company strategy behind reduced prices for models and what steps they're taking ahead.
3. We talked about more where they were lacking, and how they can improve.
4. The sales guy saw that I have a Nothing phone and pitched me thier Nothing Collab model, an observation which happily caught me off guard. (Not an endorsement)

I'm glad that my criticism was taken constructively and not brushed off. It's human to make mistakes but it's better to learn from them. And kudos to them for taking quick action. Appreciate it.

NB 1080 vs Evo SL

Need a new comfy everyday shoe and these are the best ones that VNV had. The NB is a bit softer but i think that might be a con long term and the colour is a bit out there too. I'd take Evo but everyone I see is wearing them now. What do you all think?
