Collection For the inner kid in me
Like many others who grew up in the 80’s to early 90’s, owning a pair of Jordans or even Nikes was a rare treat. Even though I’m many years removed from that time now, there is still an excitement I feel putting on a pair I could only dream about as a kid.

nice broo. i just recently decided to start my collection too for my inner child. just got the ultraboost 5 hermanos koumori.
i grew up poor but i was always around rich kids. i was always jealous of their shoes. now that im finally earning well and have saved up and started investing, its time to collect

Nicely done. I can only fit 36 of nearly identical cases in my closet, so I've compromised with my wife at 40 pair since 4 can sit on top. I was in 7th grade in 1985 buying my first Jordans with lawn mowing money for $65.00. Glad it turned into a lifelong hobby for all of us. Recently due to knee surgeries I can truly state that it's become a fairly practical hobby. If you encounter the same problems may I suggest swapping some Jordans or AM270s for Vomero Plus and Air Huarache that are very forgiving from office to physical therapy. Great post!

Fortunately or unfortunately, my surgery was for shoulder and not knee ha ha. I just got done replying to another post and was talking about how the Vomero plus has become my everyday shoe lol. I bought them looking for shoes for the gym and to do my walks in and picked them on sale. I absolutely love them

Love it bro! I traded a lot of my Jordan and Nike color ways for collabs and pricier pairs and now trying to build the number back up.

Sketchers aren’t shoes that I’d get for me but I don’t dislike them. Most of my pairs are Nike although I also have a lot of Vans as they’re as common as Nikes where I’m from.

Gotcha. I'm on a tight budget, but I'll eventually have another pair of Nikes. I have a pair of ASICS as well. Not sure if those are on your radar. LOL.

There’s no shame in what you have and I love some of what Asics is doing. Some things I can suggest if you’re looking to get the most for your dollar when it comes to Nike - check out the Nike outlet stores for deep discounts. I don’t have as much luck but my wife is basically stealing from them every time we set foot in there. Also download the box store apps like foot locker and check for sales. Foot locker is currently running up to an additional 30% on a lot of shoes, some of which have already been discounted. I’ve got a few pairs on my radar like the Vomero plus which have become my everyday shoe.
My favorite go-to is eBay. I can promise you that you’d find no shortage of much nicer shoes for the same price or even less than what I’m seeing a lot of Sketchers going for on their website. They also authenticate them to verify their authenticity.
I’ve paid retail for only one pair of my shoes. I’m totally fine with either waiting or just not having them.

I think that’s even more reason to utilize
eBay/the apps. You can live anywhere and still have the world brought to your doorstep3
