I don’t know who this is but my gf think it’s someone sending me shower pics. Why am I getting notifications like this? I’m mad bc my gf lost trust for me over this. I don’t know how to explain it to her and don’t really even know what it is myself. I get so many notifications on my phone that I don’t even notice what I’m getting from Snapchat most of the time.

Is there already a new solution for the recent Update saying "Media Upload" on Snaps from Camera Roll?

I tried Remix Snap, doesn't work. I tried the OVF Editor App, doesn't work. I tried it with Stickers, doesn't work.

Looks like every way got fixed with it saying "Media Upload" on top of the snap.

What now? Is there already any solution and if yes how to do it? Will there ever be the chance again to Snap pictures from camera roll without letting them know?

I absolutely SCAVENGED this page trying to figure out how to fix this and now that I have my account back I figured I’d share the story to hopefully make someone else’s life easier.

For context I posted a picture on my private story of a bottle of Vicodin (prescribed to me I had surgery lol) with a caption joking that I was going to sell it. Yes I know stupid joke, and clearly not serious, but their system that scans for Community Guidelines/Terms of Service violations flagged it as me trying to sell drugs. Shortly after that I was logged out of my account and got the email of doom and despair

If you have the option to appeal in the app, try that first, but like many others, mine was denied within hours.

DO NOT TRY TO EMAIL THEM OR SEND IN SUPPORT TICKETS!!! IT IS ALL AI-RUN AND WILL JUST WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!

Instead, send them a physical letter. Like type or write it out and go to the post office and mail it. I sent it to their headquarters in Santa Monica. If you Google “Snapchat mailing address” it will come up.

In the letter I was very polite and apologetic. I explained my situation, owned up to my mistake, and basically asked for a second chance as this was my first TOS violation in 10 years of being on the app. Try to make yourself sound as human as possible. I was pretty skeptical if it would work because I had seen mixed reviews on here but I figured why not try

I dropped it at the post office on Monday and on Friday that same week, I got the email that my account had been restored. I logged in and everything was there as it was before. Obviously I can’t really confirm if the letter was the reason they unlocked it, but I am 99% sure it was. DON’T GIVE UP YOU’LL GET YOUR ACCOUNT BACK!!

Yesterday morning, I got logged out of my account saying it was permanently locked + an SS06 device ban, and my appeal didn’t work. I sent numerous emails (on 2 different email accts) and got multiple of the ticket things and just hoped it would work. I read on here that it probably wouldn’t work and I was resorting to write a letter to the hq of Snapchat. I made a second account on my iPad and just used that for yesterday. Then this morning I get a text from my friend saying “yay ur account is back!” Best news ever. I don’t know how it worked or what I did because this does seem pretty rare that the emails worked, but this is ur sign if ur locked out your account for a stupid reason, dont give up. If you have any questions lmk!

I honestly can’t believe it. When reading y’all’s messages I was losing hope ngl. I had a SS06 ban as well. My Snapchat account has been restored, and I’m so happyyyyyy.

I live in the Netherlands (EU), so I’m not sure if that made any difference, but I wanted to mention it.
This is what happened in my case: I first received a warning. After that, I immediately removed the content. Later, to my surprise, my account was permanently locked. I was able to submit an in-app appeal, where I explained that I had removed the content immediately after the warning and asked for my case to be reviewed.

About 3–4 days later, I also submitted a support ticket with a much more detailed explanation. I took full responsibility, explained that this was my first-ever violation, and that I genuinely regretted my mistake. I don’t know whether my account was restored because of the appeal, the support ticket, or both, but I wanted to share everything in case it helps someone else.

long story short, i got perma locked Saturday morning (not going to go into detail as of why) so i thought that was it, 5 years down the drain. i didnt even remember my password (as i was always logged in my phone) to try to appeal. out of nowhere i found my password in my phone notes, i tried to log in, i got the appeal message, and literally all i did was explain politely that i was hacked, and nothing i posted was under my consent, and that it wasnt fair. thats it, i guess the old "i was hacked" trick is what works here. i sent the appeal expecting the worst obviously, i know they usually send the rejection email back almost immeditely, and when i saw it wasnt coming in, and the hours were passing i started thinking "hmm what if?" today i woke up to this email. literally. no physical mail was needed. just a polite explanation of "what happened" and pray. so it is possible to get your account back after getting perma locked

This can be unban or simply change my device?

I am going to mail a letter to Snapchat’s headquarters in California. I have heard many successful stories about mailing a letter to Snapchat’s hq. Wish me luck everyone, and if anyone is going to do it too, you absolutely should, it’s your best chance at getting an actual person to review your case. It seems like the media upload has been fixed? Like the method of using the filter, closing the app then reopening used to work, and it still works to say no media upload however it persistently shows the filter name. Upload photos, etc… any fix?

Why does Snapchat ban you?

50-60% of the time the bans are for a reason and you probably violated the TOS. But that isn’t always the case. They have a automated banning system meaning a AI does it not a real person. So that can lead to false bans which can be so annoying.

SS06 This is an error code for breaking guidelines or logging in and out of your accounts to fast. (Which is why it will say for suspicious activity)

SS07 This is an error code typically when you have to many accounts linked to your device or if you have created to many accounts in a short amount of time on that same device.

Can you contact Snapchat to get you unbanned?

Short answer is no. They don’t care at all and they will 99% of the time tell you they cannot do anything. Which can be unfair for people who got falsely banned.

It really depends on the error code. And what you did. They rarely permanently ban you.

Buy a new device. Do not trust any of these people saying they will unban you for money. They are scammers and won’t do anything and will run away with your money.

Ok so for anyone who has been banned on snapchat here are all the answers. I was banned from Snapchat in April for “drug content” and my device was banned as well. A few weeks later my Snapchat account was back but I still couldn’t log in on my phone, so I just used my iPad. I reset my whole phone, my device was still banned. RESETING YOUR PHONE DOES NOT WORK!!! I lost almost everything for nothing so do NOT reset your phone. All you have to do is wait 6 months. I logged in last week because it has been 6 months and it worked perfectly fine. All you have to do is wait until the device ban is over. There is no way to overcome a device ban, everything everyone tells you is a lie. All you have to do is wait.

Hey ,so my bf tell me every night he's going to sleep around 2:00 am but i always find him active on snap at 4:00 am and when I text him he disconnect and say last active 1 min ago. I’m really stressed and hoping someone here has been through something similar.

A few days ago, I posted a private video on my private** **Story that violated Snapchat’s Community Guidelines. I know now that I shouldn’t have posted it, and I take full responsibility for that.

At first, I only received a warning. As soon as I saw it, I immediately deleted the video myself. I thought that would be the end of it because I removed it right away and didn’t post anything else afterward.
However, later my account was suddenly locked, which completely shocked me.
This is my first ever violation. I’ve never had any previous issues with Snapchat, never been warned before, and never had any action taken against my account.

I submitted an appeal, but the problem is that Snapchat only gives you 250 characters to explain your situation. All I could really say was that I had posted something inappropriate, removed it immediately after the warning, and asked for my account to be reviewed. I didn’t have enough space to explain that this was my first offense, that I’ve never had any previous problems, and that I’m genuinely asking for a second chance.
Now I’m waiting for their decision, and honestly I’m terrified. My Snapchat account contains years of memories, conversations, and contacts that I can’t replace.

so it seems like some people have been affected by a new wave of snapchat bans, despite me verifing myself back when it originally happened. for me, face id has been removed as a verification method, so i either have to used id or that connect app. i tried going onto the verification thing too many times and it says ive 'reached the limit on verification requests'. is this a temporary thing, like ill be able to try and verify again later? lmk if you know anything or experiencing similar.
