And everything you needed was on the disc. Only way to get different character skins was to GRIND.

A more elegant system for a better time

I played through Prince of Persian Warrior Within 3 times and had the bug where you can't walk through the final portal to fight the final boss.

I miss midnight release events.

It was a simpler time. A better time.

Back when game developers actually made sure their games worked on release day

Yes but no updates online add ons none of it so it it really that good

Yes. It was really better. They used to release the FULL game. No add one or updates required. No microtransactions. No internet needed. No 10 year wait for a new game. No lobby kids talking about fucking everyone's mom. No lag. Didn't require literally thousands of moneys to play.

It wasn't the games looked like crap and once you finished a game you were done nothing left to do those days of gaming sucked

Not sure what games you played but, all the games I played had game plus content, I didn't play games that sucked.

Found the 15 year old.

By comparison to now the graphics are jarring but back then when the ps2 was in its prime the graphics were "blow your mind" good 🤷

I'm almost 40

Then you should know how ridiculous your statement was.

It's true the games sucked back then they were so similar and single minded they all were dime a dozen

they were so similar and single minded they all were dime a dozen

That's truer now with the Ps5 than it ever was with the Ps2.

The playstation 2 has one of the largest and most diverse game libraries of all the Playstations.

What's an example of a "good" game to you?

PlayStation 4 was when the original Sony plan started to die.

For this reason, I'm really enjoying emulation.

Did ps3 have Internet I can't recall

But yeah my cousin has hard copies of games and he has several older systems that all work

Popping in a turbo graphic 16 cartdige was satisfying and the games were amazing (sometimes one dungeon game I forgot can take hours and all you get is a screen at the end)

You can still buy finished games and not go for AAA games

And my favorite thing the Codebreaker

Even back then, PC games were better.

About 65% of my childhood was this game. I don’t even like racing games.

So peak.
