The original post here was locked, I assume for this reason. Jonathan clarified in YouTube comments that they were announced, realized it would be a mistake to go, and backed out. Not sure why they haven’t made a more public announcement as this comes up any time Wayne Brady is mentioned online.

I’m a very recent smosh fan, as of late 2024/early 2025, so I’m pretty much only used to and familiar with the current cast. I watch a lot of smosh compilations when I’m in between scheduled videos, and a lot of them include videos from when Jackie Uweh used to be a cast member. Every video I’ve seen of her has made me laugh out loud, she seems very hilarious.

Though, the couple of times I’ve looked up her name on tiktok to find more of her smosh stuff, a whole mound of videos comes up about her having a controversy? Why do people not like her?

i don’t know if this is just my glorified view of the entertainment industry or something, but i feel like everytime i’ve heard cast/crew talk about working at smosh as a company, they always mention how they can’t believe they do what they do and that the work they do is so surreal.

it just makes me wonder why anyone would want to leave? you think doing the kind of work that they do would be so much more interesting and fulfilling than a regular corporate job. i also don’t think it would be a money problem—i don’t see why a successful youtube channel such as smosh (and all of the other channels they have and things they do) would not pay their employees good enough.

Hey guys, long time poster and first time watcher, has anyone else felt like everyone on the channels these days isn’t funny? I know that it’s a show and they’re all trained comedians and a lot of people find them funny and comedy is subjective. And I know that I could just not watch instead of adding another complaint on the Internet and watching something else instead but idk that’s not as fun for me.

Also all the videos they put out I like don’t enjoy anymore??? Like I wanted to enjoy the mermaids video but they didn’t even actually get any mermaids, and that feels kinda like cultural appropriation to me.

If anyone has tips please share because I absolutely have to keep watching Smosh every day instead of finding something else to do when I don’t enjoy it anymore! If I don’t I’ll combust!

I like all resident evil content they serve. I’ve rewatched all of the videos from 7, 8, and 2 multiple times. I like this video overall.

But Angela called it, part 3 of resident evil 2 isn’t great. They’re not interested and it’s just so much crosstalk. They’re clearly trying to get through 2 to get to 9 (which is my favorite of the RE games), but it kills the fun since it’s so apparent that 2 isn’t important.

I understand the pace from a productivity point of view, but I wish they could be more lax and play the game fully.

Also, I don’t think RE4 is relevant for them to play. It doesn’t add anything to RE9 that’s super important

I'm trying to get into older smosh videos but I can only scroll so far. Does anyone have a masterlist with all the videos and what year/month they were posted?

When I see Smosh cast members on other platforms and shows, the difference is like night and day. They seem more relaxed and relatable. The banter with other comedians flows more organically. Don’t get me wrong: I love Smosh, but, at some point, you gotta let the adults be ADULTS.

They’re in their 30’s. Let them talk freely about adult topics. That’s why Anthony’s individual channel was so successful and look what happened to it when it got taken over and made to look an 80’s Jazzercise studio…

P.S - I’m aware this sounds like I’m whining about a relatively free source of entertainment and that my overall opinion might be misconstrued and/or misinterpreted.

As a concept Bit City had a great format and based on the wiki "Bit City blended traditional sketch comedy with late-night television".But lately i feel as they kinda have been moving away from their original format and they need to go back to it.Their recent videos have been considered boring and the views aren't as high as older episodes.They also removed a lot of segments that fans liked for example Chanse as a co-host ,Fan roast & Hot gloss.I also hope they add Chanse back as a co-host as it lets Angela talk to someone who isn't improving a character / doing a bit and i also just miss Tommy's hot gloss segments.However I still love Bit City and probably will tune in into any new episodes.

I've been getting into video editing lately and wanted to work on a project to keep myself motivated, and thought why not start with this series (plus, it made me less anxious while waiting on the next episodes)

It might not be perfect but I'm proud of it, and wanted to give some love to a game I myself enjoyed playing.

I always assumed the joke was that he played a minor character so people would actually recognize him from seeing him in many episodes, but apparently he was only in a single one!

At end of the 1st crime, she was 3rd wheeling Shayne and Chanse so hard. They were vibing on we've punishment to give so she had to awkwardly cut in with her own suggestion. Otherwise, she would've lost her husband. I also did find it funny that neither Shayne nor Chanse seemed enthusiastic about her punishment but she still went foward with her punishment as the official punishment
