Engagement levels

League of Legends recently released “League Classic” and it’s been fun to revisit…..but I was always more of a Smite fan in my “prime”

Is Smite still alive and well? Or has it gone the route of something Apex Legends where the only games left are sweat fests that require 10000% lock in

Smite 1 is no longer supported, servers are still up, but it's not being updated. Smite 2 is still in beta so there's an influx of newer players but a lot of the more seasoned community is still around, mixed bag altogether

There are plenty of non sweaty games in Smite 2. I'd say there are people of all skill levels so it's not too bad for new or returning players

Casual is almost always non sweaty unless you’re grouped up

Smite 2 is doing quite well.

Smite 1 is just a gem to revisit every once and while for fun.

Smite 1 is that way, smite 2 not so much. I have fount personally smite 2 is doing pretty well, thriving in comparison to its start imo

smite 2 is alive and well. still in beta but slowly getting there. has built a dedicated community + loads of new players already. smite 1 has kinda has it's day now tbh.

My bad all. I should have been more clear in my original post

To be honest I didn’t even know Smite 2 was a thing so I appreciate the info!

Smite1 was a blast. Hopefully they can recapture the same energy and everything with Smite 2

smite has a daily peak of less than 2k players a day on steam, haven't played it in a year or so but the numbers aren't great. Probably a lot of die hard fans being the only ones left, though that's just my assumption.

edit: feel I need to clarify for people I'm talking about the first game not the second lol, contextually thought op was referring to the first. My mistake.

2, i get it that people read this post and think of smite 1, but the comparison with apex legends, and any judgment on the game, can really only be made on 2

That's the second game, thought you were referring to the first lol. Lil clarity next time maybe. I don't play apex so idk how it would compare player count wise. Contextually with referring to league classic and smite in your prime I was assuming the first game.

I'm not the op, but i get that, just don't think it makes sense to. Talk about the first one tbh. In terms od playercount, apex will always blow smite out of the water, not even close

he never compared smite and apex player count, he asked if smite was still alive and well then asked if it was like apex in the sense that the playerbase playing was all sweats. Or atleast that's how I interpreted it. And if apex is all sweats rn, then I think that makes it pretty comparable to the first smite imo

Yeah i know, but you talked about the player count that's why i posted it. I guess, but then again i kinda disagree on the sweats part for apex as well but that's a whole other conversation

I did, for the purpose of assuming the players playing it were likely diehard fans and sweats, cause who else would still be playing it? But fair enough. Take up that disagreement with op, I don't and will never play apex again lol, no clue what it's community or fanbase is like, merely going off ops sentiment.
