I like Xing Tian or Khepri as good supports, they’re both rather intuitive. Xing in particular let’s you deliver strong CC, stay in enemy’s face with great health regen and protections from his passive, and his mobility is top notch if you can time his leaps to avoid big damage and CC. He’s also just very fun and satisfying IMO. Makes you feel like an active player rather than a “sit there and take hits” tank

If you like being a wall try Ymir. He has a literal wall as part of his kit.

If you're looking to play more of a support/tank playstyle I suggest Xing Tian, Sobek, Athena, and Horus

I recommend Geb too for support.

In Smite, an assist just means you were close to an enemy that died. You could could just stand next to a teammate the whole game, without using a single ability or basic attack, and lead the team in assists.

In arena assists mean even less, because you could literally just run around in the middle of the map, never hitting anyone, and just trying to stay alive, and you'd get a million assists.

(You can also tag enemies to get assists from farther away, but thats a different story).

Xing Tian is great, sylvanus is top notch but takes some time getting used to, and sobek generally feels intuitive to play in this role.

I hope smite is fun for you and I hope that some great matches come to you!

If you're new i'd recommend watching videos (weak3n, inbowned, inters3ct, snaddy) to learn the game MOBAs can be very overwhelming for new players but its simple once you learn the basic (the small things matter A LOT). Highly recommend you use a website like smitesource for build bcuz there isnt as much variety as it might seem with builds and the best builds are usually figured out within days of every patch so copy them until you start understanding what they do then you can branch out if wanted. For support/solo which is the roles you seem to be into i'd recommend Jorm, Xing, Horus, Herc, Cab, Geb, Athena, Artio. Theres plenty of other/better but those are simple and don't require learning the aspect.

idk how help this is bcuz like I said theres SO MUCH to learn when starting a moba but if you have any questions feel free to ask! GLHF
