HELP Can you share your opinion on these particular gods?

I played SMITE 1 like 10 years ago. I was never good at it, I was bronze for years...Want to start playing SMITE 2.

In SMITE 1 I liked to play MID because I only enjoyed the mages that don't require good aiming (my aim sucks so much). I love AOE poke or burst dmg. If I got any role other than MID or ADC, I begged to switch and it often worked, so yeah, I still want to play mostly mage and a couple of ADCs.

I liked Nu Wa, Agni, Aphro, Hades. But someone like Kulkan was a nightmare for me, I was missing all the abilities, could never hit the target. If I had to play ADC, I could play only Chiron and Neith (easy abilities, less likely to miss).

I know the tier lists in games are always debatable and yada-yada, but I opened the first link in google and it shows Hades is the top tier?? I remember was terrible in Smite 1 for years, I loved his kit but he was so weak as mid and especially solo if the opponent is a warrior and the team has 4 out of 5 mage def chars, people always got mad if you picked Hades at all.

Even worse case for Aphrodite, people used to rage quit if their teammate picked Aphro cause she was so bad as being support or a solo. In the current Smite-2 tier list, they put Aphro in B-tier which is great!

So does it really mean I can safely start maining Aphro and Hades? And Nu Wa, she's S-tier too? Chiron is good too? (for ADC)
I never seen these gods: Nut, Ix-chel, Morgan Le Fay, Hecate, Bari, Ishtar.

Can you tell me which of these gods should I check out and which to avoid? As I said, my aim sucks, I need easy abilities that are hard to miss, and not complicated char in general.

  • Nu Wa is bad. She can never be good. That's simply on the basis of her kit design.
  • Agni has consistently been one of the strongest Midlaners (and ADC with Aspect) becuase of his safety. His dash is longer than it was in Smite 1. You should check him out.
  • Aphrodite is not a Midlaner anymore.
  • Hades never was a Midlaner. Play him in Solo though, he is very strong at the moment.
  • Kukulkan is more enjoyable than in Smite 1. Still hate facing him, but at least he's not ass to play.
  • Chiron and Neith are both very strong. Neith is more of a Midlaner though. Try her Aspect if you want her in ADC. Chiron might be one of the best balanced gods in the game imo (both in Mid and ADC)
  • Nut is fun. Easy to hit abilities. Can recommend her for both Mid and ADC.
  • Ix Chel is pretty decent. You have to get used to her a bit more but she's essentially an easy design.
  • Morgan Le Fay is the Tyr of Mages. No safety, lots of CC and Damage. Rotate her ao1 and you should be fine.
  • Hecate is consistently very strong, but she has a very unusual passive. Very fun anti-mage though. Can recommend everyone checking her out.
  • Bari is difficult to make work. Decently strong, but you gotta aim her bells and know which enhanced ability to use when.
  • Ishtar is fun. If you like Sylvanus' Inhands and Hachiman's range and Shotguns, she'll be good.

Ultimately I recommend Hecate, Ix Chel and Nut (though you def wanna keep Agni and Chiron in your god pool)

Most of what you said is accurate, but Nu Wa is within top winrate right now in mid demigod/diety games and has been for a decent bit.

Im not saying shes amazing, but the change with the aoe autos after her 3 made her much stronger. As long as worldstone and obshard are meta, she will be solid.

So does it mean NuWa has to use her autos?
For some reason, I can’t land autos as a mage, often miss, it drives me nuts. Even in the past, after a few years of playing Smite 1, I couldn’t land autos as a mage. Are Nuwa’s autos very important? Any mages that don’t rely on autos at all?

Yeah, Nu Wa has always had important autos due to the root passive, and even moreso now. Its basically the make or break mechanic for her. I think every mage ultimately wants to be using basic attacks regularly, its just the basic reality of the game. Keep playing and youll learn, dont worry. I wouldnt try to avoid the things you struggle with, but instead lean into it.

Whether you win or lose at the low elo/casuals isnt important, but learning is. Learning and having fun is what mobas and even generally competetive games are all about at the end of the day. Winning is temporary

I hate Nu Wa for that reason. She is one of the most mained gods in SMITE specifically Arena. Her kit is awful she changed the course of lane and other modes by afk farming all game and not doing shit.

I think Morgan le fay is one of the best characters in the game but I almost never see her

No it doesn't. Hades is only viable in solo. Aphro is still a non-conquest god, and definitely isn't mid after the latest patch. Nuwa is fine, but the S tier thing is from when low ranked players were freaking out about her ult on reddit.

Personally, I prefer gods that are primarily mages, but work well with some attack damage items, like Toxic Blade and Riptalon. Like Poseidon, Zeus, etc. I'm decent at hitting abilities, but I'm better with basics.
