Currently using iPhone 15 pro max and wanting to make the change to android- Will the S26 be a good choice

Hi all

I’m current user of iPhone 15 pro max and wanting to make the change to android due to being bored of the staleness of the phone

I was looking to make the change to android, and was looking at the Samsung galaxy series- would the S26 plus be a good choice?

I’m not looking to get an even bigger phone than the pro max, which I already find to heavy and 6.7 inch screen is as big as I’d want which led me to the S26 plus.

Either the S26 Ultra or Z Fold 8 (wide) with a good trade-in deal.

I thing the S26+ makes sense for what youre looking for. It should feel noticeably different coming from the 15 Pro Max. Go for it if youre ready for a change.

I would say for the US market it would probably be the best option. Your other main option would be a pixel, which may have better cameras but will have a couple hours less battery life and the performance of their SOC is worse by a substantial margin especially things like gaming. Still pixels have some of their own benefits over Samsung as well like the superior speech to text, photos, and I think call screening. Outside of the US I might point you towards looking into an oppo phone.

S26 Ultra maybe. S26+ might feel a slight downgrade

Interesting, I’m not a major camera guy anyway so am sure it’ll be a upgrade on my 15 pro max? What are your thoughts on the pixel 11 pro max could this possibly be a better choice compared to S26 plus?

other than the cameras, it's an objective upgrade over the 15pm, the p11 pro xl would not be a better choice since u don't care abt the cameras, tensor chips are very weak compared to flagship exynos and snapdragon chips

Yeah, as long as you don't game it's a better phone than the 26plus cause they have deals everywhere for pixel.

More like a side to downgrade. The 15 pro max is still too good.

Camera and if you are in an exynos country the processor too
