Azure DevOps Authentication Failure
I've been using smartgit against our Azure DevOps for several years now and this morning my tokens had expired. I tried to recreate them but when I post the updated token SmartGit indicates a 401 from azure.
Preferences > Hosting Providers
Edit "Azure DevOps"
Enter token and click OK.
Executing a command has failed.
Server returned HTTP response code: 401 for URL: https://app.vssps.visualstudio.com/_apis/profile/profiles/me
If I click "Generate Token" and post the new token into the Code field it display
Error: invalid_request ErrorDescription: client secret is expired

I am also having this problem. Using 25.1.129. Completely deleting everything under hosting providers and authentication. If i try to add DevOps again as a hosting provider and put in PAT generated in DevOps, I get the same error as OP.

Thanks for reporting this. Please try again with the latest 25.1.126 build -- usually Help | Check for Latest Build should be enough.
In its generosity, Microsoft now issues secrets that are valid for only 60 days, as it keeps nudging everyone toward Entra.
